Is anybody seriously interested in having that douchebag Drogba on our team? I'm sure he hates Barca just as much as I despise him anyway so he wouldn't want to come here. I would not want Drogba even for free- besides he's old, doesn't fit our style, and is worse in terms of his antics than anyone on our team tbh

I can't think of a good reason to have Drogba anywhere near Barca.

Suarez I haven't minded since Ajax. What's up with his finishing though? Amazing goal ratio in Ajax, at Liverpool his finishing is very average. Don't like his behavior either but I would be fine with him given he comes at the right price. He definitely could fit in our team somewhere unlike Drogba (still- is there anyone serious about that?)

EDIT: For the record, yes- I will admit to being biased for not liking Drogba.

Always had a bit of a like/hate thing with Drogba. He's a good player clearly, and a big game player as well. However, he's a douchebag and theres nothing more to it. Whether he does some good things or not off the pitch doesn't concern me, everyone has their redeeming qualities. He's probably quite a nice guy and he's funny (like Cristiano)... doesn't mean he isn't a bad sport, arrogant etc.

As I say... mixed feelings of respect and dislike.

It wouldn't bother me if he came though. If he fails, he was free, so it doesn't matter. Could be quite useful as well. I doubt he'd cause unrest, he'd be fully aware he'd be a bench player. If we buy another forward, there's no need, but if we get him, there's no need to complain.

On Suarez, he hasn't been prolific, but he's also lacked continuity due to injury. At Barca I'm sure we'd improve his finishing. Again, he's a bit of a scumbag though... and this is well known.

Suarez doesnt have the type of personality I would want at the club. He is a giant douche. He would fit perfect and right at home at Madrid tho

Lots of rumors that the Alba is on his way to the Camp Nou. Not too crazy about it

I would concur on just about all accounts when it comes to Drogba except I can think of three very simple reasons why he'd be a positive to add to the squad...One, we'd never have to face him anymore - that's reason enough...Two, he is a lethal goalscorer from anywhere near the goal...The sort of goalscoring threat that is lacking against the parked buses...Three, he's on a free - cheap works, we don't have color toner at the club after all

Plus, as much as he's a douche on the pitch he's not that way off of it from what I can tell

Don't compare the services Suarez gets at Liverpool to Alexis in our team...

Although I have to say I've been let down by Suarez finishing at Liverpool, although I think he is playing good, but I thought he would score more (he has chances, but misses).

Well, ask Liverpool fans what the problem has been this season...finishing, not creating.

Not here saying Alexis is better or a better finisher than Suarez, he isnt...but I was adding to Nicks relavant point.

Suárez was Liverpool's top scorer with 17 goals this season, compared to second top scorers Carroll and Bellamy both having scored 9. He also had second top assists in Liverpool with 10. Not to mention he was banned for 8 matches and missed a few matches because of injury. Not bad considering this was the worst season he had in his career.

... Since when have we ever pretended that buying players wasn't key to our club? The only thing Barca ever claims is that they try to keep the Catalan identity of the team in place and use homegrown players as the core of the team.

This is more true than ever. The pride of our team is predominantly the La Masia players, few other clubs can claim this.

Its not my problem that the media, staff and even some fans here (Francise, Khaled, Cholla) proclaimed it to be. It goes back to 2009-2010 year, when I remember alot of talk about it and it all came from barcelona. I even got that impression of barcelona.

oh come on xcx, we are all just happy that youth forms the spine of the team. And we are happy that Barcelona has a thriving youth school where players are regularly inducted into the first team.

There is no doubt that we will look to buy from outside if quality is not available in house. Just look at the fact that Tito was given an opportunity before the club looked outside for a new manager. Look at how Pep was given an opportunity after the club found that Mourinho's philosophy did not match ours.

It is not our fault that you misunderstand these things in the first place. You misperceived our enthusiasm.

Atlético want to sign Botía from Sporting. However Barcelona will possibly take up their option to re-sign Botía for €2.5 million before selling the defender to Atlético for an undisclosed fee.

I don't mind him though I want someone who has experience...

i think we should give Botia a chance, at least in pre-season, before selling him, if didn't prove him-self..

Today's rumor from Sport.es, 20M + Afellay OR Adriano for Thiago Silva (1st bid).

We can't sell Adriano, we're already searching for a Left Back.. we can't sell adriano and buy 2 LB...

20M + Afellay seems fine.

If the club waits throughout the summer, they lose Botia as a bargaining chip in the operations for bigger fish to fry...I hope the Ibi rumours are off the mark, can't dump a versatile player like that right off an injury that kept him out most of the season

I just don't see the Rossoneri budging on Silva and even if they were tempted it would take a big fee or get drawn out and invariably keep them from looking for an alternative...Strange that Hummels is rarely in the conversation, especially since he's a LCB

As for Adriano, I'm not married to the player but he is versatile and can play on either the left or right which makes him the sort of player the club likes to platoon in defense...Frankly, Alba seems like an upgrade to him although, again, it doesn't necessarily prevent him from remaining due to that versatility

I don't mind that deal tbh. Sure, I was hoping Afellay would make it big with Barca, but obviously he'll have to put in a Herculean effort just to get a starting spot. And I don't see that effort coming any time soon.

Let them try to get Thiago Silva as there is no reason to think Barcelona won't be looking at other options and working towards that end. It is a long summer.

I think galliani would sell for either City or Barca if they offered around 40M.we NEED money atm so we can replace the old players that left

but i doubt barca would even offer 30M

Given that we got Afellay for 3M that's a fantastic deal, but rumored players swaps never go through so I don't think it has any chance of being real at all.

I love Afellay and a deal like that would break my heart though he is definately not worth 20
