I thought Barca's budget was s low because... you know insanely high wages being spent despite a trophyless season? (This years 3 trophy's are conclusions to the last season) and the the Manchester United dept?

You guys really, really need to lower your wages... paying more than English clubs ffs

The wages have been high due to bonuses after winning trophies. I think it will come down this year.

Find a player in our team that doesnt deserve what they are getting.

I know at least two: Cesc and Alexis.

I dont know how much they earn, but thats this year.

The "problems" wage wise are certainly more than a year old.

Tito's plans for next season view the players in such a way:

7 untouchables: Valdes, Pique, Puyol, Sergio, Xavi, Iniesta, Messi.

Players that are unlikely to go for different reasons: Thiago (counted on for the future), Javier Mascherano (form), David Villa (injury), Pinto (unique position).

Players that are valued highly, but may listen to offers for: Alves, Pedro, Keita, Afellay, Adriano

This is also the case for the youth who are counted on to join the first team: Oier, Montoya, Muniesa, Bartra, Dos Santos.

I think we can add a new level for Keita- likely to leave. When he came off the other day, he was apparently giving something of a farewell to the fans. He is set to have a discussion with Tito, but it is likely he will leave. Malaga is reportedly the main possibility, though he has plenty of options: Bayern, Milan, Liverpool...

I don't deny that I think Barca will listen to big offers for players like Pedro and Alves, though it said neither are likely to leave.

I reckon its like this:

Likely: Keita, Fontas.
Possible: Adriano, Afellay, Dos Santos
For huge offers: Alves, Pedro
Possible Loans: Muniesa, Bartra, Cuenca, Tello

I'm baffled that Keita has plenty of options.. do you think these teams will pay anything for him? I would let him go for nothing, so if we get more than 4 milion I will consider it a great sale.

About Alves, I wouldn't sell him, but a sell for a huge amount shouldn't be ruled out. He is a great player, but he is 29 now and RB is a position that is not one of the most important ones. However, if that is a step closer to make 343 our main system, I'm completely against it. Also, I don't see who could replace Alves aside from Montoya. There are not many good and available RB around.

1. On Thiago Silva.

40m or 25m... Galliani has just said they don't want to sell him. This won't stop us from making a big bid, but if they don't want to sell, they don't want to sell. We may as well test their resolve though.

2. Adriano

I agree, but I dunno if the coaching staff see him as invaluable. I would keep him, I really think he is a good left-back, better than Alba (if only because he's adapted) and I don't see how other options are much better.

The only argument is he gets injured a lot... I dunno, could be just bad luck so far though.

Thing is, it seems clear that we will buy a new LB anyway. If we are to also buy a new CB, and keep one of Muniesa and Bartra, we'd have a lot of defenders (9). Its not really too many, because Adriano is versatile, but it doesn't make Adriano invaluable does it. If there's a good offer he might go, my belief is he will stay.

3. Keita
Don't let your hate cloud the fact that he has served us well and is a good player. We dislike him atm because he's used too often, and unnecessarily. However, he's not a bad player. We just don't need him and feel we have more promising players to give time too. Keita would be a great acquisition for many teams, and we have improved his game a lot.

He's 32, but isn't showing signs of aging. I think he has a solid 3 year contract left in him. Barca value him too, so I think he'll go for somewhere between 5-10m. Rosell is also a boss on the market (even if this is his only quality ).

4. Alves
Completely agree with you, though I'd be very upset if he left.

I agree with everything you said Kizz, except I really do feel Keita's age is starting to show. To me he looks less reliable on the ball than in previous years. Add it to his current age and selling now is the only way we could still get some $$$ out of him.

Selling Tello? I'd rather see us loan him out to a La Liga team, preferably midtable where he would be pretty much guaranteed of a lot of games. I don't feel comfortable selling him, as we haven't seen that much of him yet and a more than decent performance during a loan could at least help us bring in some more cash.

This is the order of preference, though most previous reports stated Llorente was the preferred forward.

Hummels would be a good solution.

Hummels is slow and Pique'ish...no thanks.
