Mario's goal was nice. Marchisio won the ball and sent a far lob in. The Polish keeper was drawn off his line and Mario hit his spot.

I'm sorry, but how does Ranocchia suck? First of all he was out best defender even top of Chiellini for crying out loud. You know who did suck? Abate, who failed to impress... he had Chiellini and Ranocchia angry at him at some parts of the game, because he didn't stick to his position, and they had to cover for him. Ranocchia was a monster out there, and you refer to the penalty. The penalty as a failure due to the ref not realizing they both went elbow to elbow.
