I don't think people know he's 19. He should go when he's around 22, there is plenty of time. At 22 he would have matured and good enough to walk into a top European squad and even if he spends the rest of his career there...he'll be playing for at least 12-13 years for them

What's with the attitude of 'he needs Europe'. Why, exactly? What does Europe provide that Brazil does not? Brazil might not be what it was in the 60s and 70s, but it still has a top league, staying there is better for his national team career, and in terms of development he would only suffer there as he would get less playing time due to the need to adapt and the heightened risk of injury. The difference is not as big as some of you make it out to be.

Nothing special, the new contract was not registered 30 days after it was signed, so would be invalid now.

But Santos can just produce the contract again and register it and things will be fine.

So is pretty much a non-story.

and if you thought he can get bought for peanuts just because his new contract is invalid

No, he is just under the previous contract.

So anyone wanting him would still need to pay his buyout fee (45 million Euros) to sign him.
