Cassano? Rossi? Giovinco??

I cant think of many to be honest.
I really think Italy has gone down in player quality overall.why italy isnt producing "superstars" like it used to be in the past?

True, however he's still mostly Italian. By the way I agree, Rossi is the best as of now.

On current form, it's Rossi. Talent wise it's Cassano. A half fit Cassano managed 4 goals and 8 assists in Milan since arriving from January. That is pretty impressive. Next season, with full fitness back he will explode. Mark my words.

Are we strictly discussing attackers? Otherwise I'd say Chiellini and Nesta.

balotelli because he plays in the premier league, the best league in the world, where legends are born.

true but i certainly didnt expect them to hit this bad in player quality considering how big of a football culture they have.

I really must scream Chiellini and Nesta once more, though having retired from international football Nesta is irrelevant to the point you're making.

Italy's definitely going through a rebuilding stage, however an organised team with Chiellini on top form, a more mature back four after another year of European football with a few younger players such as Abate, Ranocchia and Criscito continuing to grow can give Italy what it has always based success off: defence.

If De Rossi gets his head back into shape Italy have creativity and flair up front with the ability to play on the counter-attack in Balotelli and Rossi. We're not the best eleven on paper, however if our key players turn up we're still a threat, though by no means a favourite in anything.

no question,its undoubtedly giuseppe rossi..had a great season with villareal and leading azzuri's fwd line as well
