Re: Creatine
Yeah I use it.
Specifically I use 'Cell Mass' by BSN.
It won't make your muscles grow, because that's protein's job. But it is FANTASTIC for increasing strength. Even though it may take about a month to get into your system, you should slowly see an increase in the weight your pushing. I found that when creatine, eventually, is in your system and working properly, you have much mower energy and power during workouts
Creatine is a great product for intermediate bodybuilders but DO NOT use specifically creatine monohydrate. That stuff makes you hold heaps of water. It'd be best to do your research before hand and find a creatine that doesn't consist of creatine monohydrate

Re: Creatine
Babun's got a point
I would only advise you take creatine if you've plateaued and you NEED the extra push, then use creatine. If your going up in your weight every 1 or 2 months, you don't need to take creatine.

Re: Creatine
From what I have heard in the locker-room, all it does is fill you with water ?
I also heard that once you stop taking it, you lose the water that has filled you ? Or something like that. All I know is that there are after-effects to suddenly not taking it anymore so be prepared for that.

Lol.. I've been reading that creatine monohydrate is the best by far.. Yeah it retains water but water is good four your muscle, it keeps it in an anabolic state to grow.. And then when you go off it you lose the water weight but the muscle mass and strength is supposed to stay in tact

Are you a pro in some sport? If not, you don't even need extra protein

The water is supposed to be good for your muscle, when you stop using it you will lose the water but not the muscle.... Supposedly lol

No, you will lose your strength. Creatine fuels your ATPs (your muscles primary resource for energy). Taking away Creatine is taking away your muscles new resource for power and strength.
And creatine will assist in muscle growth (via the heavier weight you can push int he gym) but it will not directly result in muscle growth. The whey protein you're taking is what will actually make your muscles grow.

When you finish using it, the ingredients in it will dissolve or pass through your body and the ingredients that encourage water retention in your body will go to. So your body may appear "dry" a week or so after you're done with it.
It's very important to read the label in regards to instructions. You need to take a break from creatine also. I do 8 weeks on and 2 weeks off.

Re: Creatine
If you want to lose weight, you better train your legs and balance the diet ( most of your muscle weight is concentrated there)Swagg_Johnson wrote:babun1024 wrote:Don't use anything if you don't need to is my adviceSwagg_Johnson wrote:Anybody here use it while working out? The best way, eat less calories than you need per day but don't reduce drastically, work out your upper body to lose carbonhydrate reserves first and then run like Forst Gump

About foreign substances, it's not your mobile phone, pet or something else, its' your body. You'll keep it until you get old and eventually die. I would never experiment with my body. The only thing I take is 30g protein pulver per day mixed with banana and milk

Re: Creatine
at the start of the workout creatine gives u extra strength, as your muscles get pumped up with water you will find it hard to flex your muscle. monohydrate is the best, but be careful you shouldnt take it more than 3 months, the usual cycle is 1 month on and off, 3 months is the max before it starts to take a toll on ur internal organs.

Well yeah I know how it works but I was thinking that even when you come off of it your muscles will still be bigger than before since creatine helped them get there?
Bigger muscles = More strength right lol?

I don't think there has been any scientific evidence that it messes up organs....

Generally that's true
But there's some ways you can gain strength and not muscle

Yeah but if your working out you will be getting the strength and growth naturally.. Creatine just amplifies that.. Looks like a win win for me..
