Goran Pandev insists his maturing Napoli side can target the title if they beat Juventus on Sunday night.

The Azzurri are five points behind leaders Juve, but a win would re-ignite their ambitions to end the campaign as champions.

“If we win at the weekend then we can target the Scudetto,” he told Radio Marte on Friday afternoon.

“I scored the best goal of my career against Juventus and I’d love to give the Neapolitan fans the same sort of joy.

“We are slowly growing and we will win something this season…”

Napoli will go into the tie after a 3-2 defeat at Bayern Munich in the Champions League this week.

“We are still in with a chance in the Champions League,” the Macedonian noted. “I think that Bayern, after Barcelona, are the strongest side in Europe right now.

“We can still qualify though.”

The attacker joined Napoli in the summer on a loan deal after he decided to quit San Siro giants Inter.

“I didn’t like the air in Milan anymore,” he stated. “I wanted a change and I didn’t hesitate when Napoli called.

“Former Inter boss Jose Mourinho phoned me soon after I arrived here. He congratulated me for my choice of new club.”

Pandev? no, he hasn't done anything of significance that I can recall, to date.
he does provide them with good depth up top, that must be said
