Santon has lots of potential, skill, talent, and experience. He will grow soon, mark my words. His call ups to the national team here and there speak for themselves.
Sure he's talented, but he's completely overrated. Totally utterly overrated. He has potential, but I've heard that a thousand times over. I don't care for his call ups. He can't even break into the starting 11 at Cesena. But then again, I don't expect you to take into consideration the facts. You just look at the half good season he had with Jose...
You're overrating him big time.
Abate > Santon. One is a starter at the biggest team in Italy. The other... can't even break into a relegation battler.
And Abate isn't? How is Santon overrated when he has many haters here? And Abate for some odd reason seems to be one of the best RB's in the world?

Remember Kids, if Milan fans think Abate is the best, then they are right !
Very true...

I don't know one can be this wrong and never admit their mistakes... but come on man...
Abate plays for one of the top teams in Italy... and he won the scudetto. Santon can't even break into the Cesena starting 11. Santon is not anywhere near Abate. Stop championing Santon. He did very little... even for Mourinho.

It took Santon at the age of 18 to win a Scudetto, Abate 24. That means already a lot.

He wasn't a starter at Inter or Cesena. Please... stop with this nonsense.

Serie A:
Abate 2010/2011 - 26 games started 3 sub appearances.
Santon 2009/2010 - 8 games started 4 sub appearances.
Santon 2010/2011 - 5 games started 7 sub appearances. (at Inter)
Santon 2008/2009 - 14 games started 2 sub appearances.
Abate in one season reached the same amount of starting appearances as Santon in 3 yrs. at Inter. Santon was not a big contributor to Inter's success he rarely even got to play. Abate on the other hand was for us. I've had this discussion with you already don't get into this ridiculous argument again where you just keep saying Santon is better. :study:

Santon wasn't really a starter for Inter at all... it was always Maicon... Maicon was the key part of Inter's right flank especially during Jose's time. Santon can't even break into Cesena's squad... he's one of the most overrated youth players out there...

Ignazio Abate. Average at attacking but a brick wall defensively. Kept an in form Eto'o quiet and was consistent throughout the season and his Champions League performance against Ronaldo and Bale was also very impressive.

Funny how Maggio is in the best RB for 2010/11 when he played as a winger all season...

Maggio didn't play as a right back. Go ahead and break your keyboard.

Here, I made a visual aid for those struggling with the concept:

I said nothing about that. Go ahead and make any distorted images you want. But it doesn't change reality.

Voted for Abate myself.
Cassani was average.
Isla started well, but tailed off along with the rest of Udinese.
Maicon was average.
Maggio's not a RB
Motta is laughable
The next most consistently good RB is Marco Cassetti, but he's had too many poor performances when it's mattered.

3-4-3. 3 defenders. 4 midfielders. 3 attacker. Where does Maggio fit into this?
Napoli don't play a 'FCKING' 5-2-3

Even the clear visual aids fall on deaf ears (or is it blind eyes?)
I give up...There's no hope
Maggio is a wingback, its not a debate tbh
And for the record isla was better than both anyway
