That great midfield you speak of was no way to be seen against Newcastle.......

Modric was a ghost, Van Der Vaart had a good 15 mins but thats it, Bale did nothing the whole game.....

Parker is completely and utterly average......

Defoe in his short appearence was better than all of them combined.......

They played 3 in midfield compared to our 2 in midfield yet we still dominated possession......

They created like 1 chance other than thier goal and 1 half chance......

One of the most overrated midfields going.

VDV and Ade wins them games, not thier overrated midfield and VDV plays as an SS anyway.

A good midfield, but nothing special.

VDV and Modric are great players. The others have their qualities, but they simply wouldn't start in any top class midfield. Thus, it's definitely outside of the top 10

Sandro is very young and quite brilliant

Modric is world class and could walk into most top teams

I'll admit I never watched Parker much, but he's been pretty class throughout his career in the EPL and was a shortlist for PFA player of the year and got the FWA footballer of the year award, and has been great for Tottenham so far

Bale is just a fantastic young winger who on a good day can tear any team a new one with his pace and ability

VDV has been amazing for Tottenham and probably one of the best players in the EPL since he joined Tottenham. He's barely even a midfielder, anyway, more of a SS

They hav the 2nd best first choice MF in our league after MCFC.

Barca and Real are of course better and so is Bayern.

Italians can't hold a candle to the pace & energy of their mid.

Their midfield is certainly world class, but I VDV is on decline and Lennon is overrated.

Bale, Modric and Sandro are call, waiting to move to better teams

They have got pace, energy and Modric. But then Harry is the manager, so the Modric factor is negated. They are not top 10, but they are definitely rated.

That was a great team that not any young player could just walk into. He still won the PFA young player of the year award for the 03-04 season-which shows his class as a young player...

His newcastle days weren't that good but he has been class with West ham-and so far as well with Tottenham.

He's been pretty class throughout his career...yes...i still agree with what I said before.
