Re: Santos
Gibbs is too injury prone.. That is worrysome.. It'd be interesting to see who among the two of them ends the season with more appearances..

Re: Santos
Not true, most of our fullbacks are defensive types, like abidal and arbeloa, but Europe buys the ones that attack well and are flashy on the eye...or wingers like alves and marcelobabun1024 wrote:There's no such a thing like fullback in Brazil. They produce wingbacks only We had to school Marcelo into defending, still a work in progressmzamani wrote:I do not care what you say, but i love this guy (no homo). plus, i am pretty sure he won every tackle in the second half. Sturridge was garbage there, Mata was not that effective (his goal was supposed to be a foul). plus i love his swagged attitude. guy is classs. plus, finally, we have our own Brazilian fullback

Re: Santos
Santos showed character that a lot of players lack despite being poor in the first half, he still gave a lot. In the second his determination paid off, what I like is that he is a genuine attacking threat if Mertesacker remembered how to mark for the first goal, Santos's half would not have been so bad.
People say he lacks pace, it's a deception take it from someone who saw him live yesterday and the boy has strong top speed. He is a strong runner but has poor acceleration given the fact Stamford Bridge is a really small pitch Santos has less time and space to reach final velocity.
Compare Olympiacos at the Emirates to yesterday's match and you will see what I mean.

Re: Santos
Nah mate, I was in the upper tier, my mate has got footage of the game I'll try and get it off him or get him to upload it youtube. The Arsenal fans s*** on the Chelsea fans when it came to the support, I watched the game on TV when I got back and I swear Sky must have muted the Arsenal supporters before the 90 and after we were strong. Arsenal away fans are comfortably the best in the league.
I'm going to the Marseille game on tuesday I'll try to get some pics and footage then.

Re: Santos
Wenger has to watch his diet. He's not fit, but i gotta admit, he's good in attack. Had a few good shots today. Better than Clichy going forward, worse going back.
