If we had signed a player like Hamsik or Schweinsteiger AS WELL as Nocerino, I think the Nocerino hate would be much less severe then it has been. Many people here on this forum are, understandably, venting their anger and frustration from the transfer window

Yeah, I remember being on rossoneriblog when we signed Nocerino people on there were just bashing him because he was not this huge name like we were after like Hamsik or Schweinsteiger. Now that he has had success they have ceased bashing him. I personally never had a problem with the signing, it seemed like it would work out well for us

I've said before that as a replacement for Flamini bought at the last minute, the criticism of him should be limited, given that it would be asking him to perform at a level he never has before to expect a player of starting material. Comparing his effect to a star would be cruel, however comparing him to Gattuso and Flamini is of course necessary.The test of a starter will come later however and in any case, we should always be looking to give competition to our players, even our starters.
