Thank God you found something i felt a little off place sharing Caughtoffside! . . . . anyhow there is I believe a realistic chance as the guy does want to move away as many reports previously suggested . .

Dream signing if true....Still wont fix our goal scoring problem, but will definitely help

We need a winger.

Downing is not good enough for the starting XI. I've lost all faith in him. You can say that he creates X numbers of games, but he's no goal threat, puts in one decent cross a game (the others just whips it in, not even looking where he's kicking it and Andy gets the blame for positioning...) and is generally missing throughout games. We need a Mata-type of signing. An agile winger, that can both create and help do the workload infront of goal.

Need a finisher, also.

We had no problem scoring when Kenny was first re-appointed... what happened? Signed far too many players that "create" chances but can't finish 'em. Put any poacher in this squad, and we'd be in the top 4 comfortably. We need to stop buying for the future at the moment too, we need a proven goal scorer NOW.

Vertonghen I find the logic for it . . . bt Eriksen sounds a little weird at this moment of time . . might be the Dutch 'Caughtoffside'

Doesn't seem like a January type of transfer.

to be fair i think this is kennys fault with these signings because commoli doesnt buy british, so far apart from enrique, we have signed championship players. you can see the potential in henderson but with carroll, we dont even play to his style.

if the owners have any sense (which they do) we will go out in January and sign at least 1 possibly 2 good players.
put it this way if we dont make champions league this season then we wont even bother qualifying for the europa league.

Kaka will remain injured for half the season and his one years salary is enough to buy a good young player. Suarez, Bellamy & Gerrard can play in Kaka's role.

Why would we ever want to sign Kaka with our current players? He's not the type, role, position, or mentality player we really need at the moment.

Also, today's/tomorrow's (depending on where you live) Mirror has a story linking us with a late move for Cahill. I can't see that as being anything other than rubbish, though.

Why exactly do we need Cahill.We already have arguably the best defensive partnership in the league and have Coates and Carra as back up.If we really buy a CB he should atleast be versatile enough to DM like Vertinghon.

We simply dont need Cahill.We already have enough average english players in the squad.

Was written after the Blackburn game. I'm usually not knee jerking, but that was embarassing. Was dissapointed at the time. Still believe there's no harm in trying though. Always fun signing a top class experienced player. Though, we've never been that type of club.

Concerning Cahill... Knew we were going to be interested, he is an experienced English capped player. He's not going to be first team anyway, he'll be there to replace Jamie. And for less than 7m, can't really go wrong. But I'm pretty sure he's off to Chelsea. Be like the Phil Jones situation all over again. ;\

Rumours for Bent, Tiote and uhm... there's one more. From Uruguay, plays for an Italian club. Forgot his name!! Ramirez I think it is. Not too sure.
