Who is the best keeper in the past decade?
Re: The best kepper of the past decade
Buffon hands down for the decades.
But now he is done. We will always be grateful to him.
Casillas Cesar and also Dida ( when he was at his best) need to be mentioned

its a shame that buffon had to battle injuries for the past 2 yrs and its a shame that he is playing with such a team with mediocre players..buffon would win it hands down..get him a team of the quality of real madrid and he'll show who's the boss..FORZA GIGI..best keeper of the last two decades !!

He's not done yet. Goalkeepers can go past 40, like Van Der Sar who was still at the top of his game at that age. Buffon's gone through extensive surgeries so finally I hope things are rectified and he can work his way back to being the best, and he's still capable of doing that. Don't rule him out yet, give him a bit more time and then you can make a better judgement. What's the most important thing for me is that he can still be the world's best goalkeeper, but let's give him a good run to decide that. I don't buy into that sort of talk "oh he's gone, he won't be as good anymore, he's not how he's used to be". Goalkeepers are much different and he's got a long way to go in his career.
