Re: The Walking Dead
- Spoiler:
- We didn't see her daughter for basically the whole 2nd season and up until she came outta the barn as a walker, it was concensus that she may have still been alive. I think the same can be said of Carol, but I don't think the writers will go that same route with her.
As for this episode. As far as filler episodes go, this one is simply powerful.
Michionne is quickly becoming the most interesting character on the show thus far. She just doesn't play well with others and it's likely for the best that she left. I don't see her hooking up with Rick's group though, but she may likely interact with them at some point I'd imagine.
As for the group itself...the word that comes to mind when I think about what happened to this dynamic compared to the first episode of the season is "asunder"....they've been torn apart in every way possible. I personally consider it a bit odd that Rick is acting as if his world has collapsed when he was very, VERY lukewarm to Lori following the revelations about Shane. I'm not surprised that he barely acknowledged the baby considering we still don't know who the father actually is between him and Shane. That poor kid will forever be a reminder to Rick of not only Lori's loss, but her infidelity. Powerful stuff.
I merely think the phone ringing when it couldn't possibly ring means the beginning of the end of his sanity. Wasn't too shocked by it.

Re: The Walking Dead
- Spoiler:
- Didn't really like this ep. I know they needed a bit of a filler ep, but even so there needs to be some sort of interesting plot development. As said, only interesting thing was Rick and the phone call.
I would have liked maybe a whole ep focusing on Rick and the baby as thats really what we want to find out about after last ep.
The Woodborough side of the story is beginning to get on my nerves... Very slow in finding out wtf is happening and I don't actually feel like they developed the characters this ep. The fight scene, the experimenting and his daughter was interesting but should have been more prominent. We already know he seems a shady guy etc. They need to start fleshing it out. I feel something big has to happen in Woodborough now (and it seems it will).
Dunno about Michionne... Doesn't convince me yet. She's very cool, but again I feel the whole mysterious thing is being overdone... I want to find something interesting out about her now and its not coming. Didn't find her walking around as a mute that interesting.
Andrea sucks as well now so it makes that side of the story quite poor atm for me.
Frustrated they killed T-Dog off as I thought he was coming into his own. I think they need to start getting us attached to some of these characters now, because half of them left I care nothing for whereas Lorrie, Shane etc. were all actually interesting. (Yes, I did think Lorrie's existence was important to the show lol. Wasn't the initial point of the story that Rick wanted to find her and protect her and Carl?)

Re: The Walking Dead
^^That's still one of TWD's main problem bruh. Poor character development. I honestly feel nothing for these characters, not one ounce of emotion no matter what circumstances they are dealt with. The game has me engrossed more to the characters than the show.
The writers need to watch a show like Lost and learn a thing or 2 about character development. That show is still the GOAT in that aspect. I even felt something for their sub-characters in the show. An amazing feat the creators of that show achieved.
It's still a great show and a very enjoyable season thus far. They just need to iron out a few things before it can reach one of the GOAT shows status.

- Spoiler:
- I completely forgot about Lori's death or involvement in the show right after I viewed the next episode, even though she was an integral part of the show. like wtf? Same goes with the rest of the characters who've gone or who have died.

Re: The Walking Dead
- Spoiler:
- This show is so dumb, they are in a prison that has gone untouched by anyone why dont they turn the generators on so they have electricity, prisons have large fuel reserves, also why they have not found the prison ammo depot which would have assault rifles and thousands of rounds of ammo is equally confusing. Stupid show.
I have been watching the last 5 episodes thinking are they going to turn the generators on this week. Maybe they will find the ammo depot this week, or maybe they will find the medical ward this week.

- Spoiler:
- If you actually paid attention to the show, you would know that Andrew found the generator, he only had a small can of diesel to power it, probably just enough power so he could sound the alarms.
And Carl found the infirmary and scavenged whatever was left. And when they first got to the prison, the prisoners explained that the prison was overrun. Safe to assume most of the weapons were taken with guards and whoever else left.
I wish I had enough free time to watch 5 hours of a "stupid" show.

Re: The Walking Dead
- Spoiler:
- It was over run by walkers. The guards are dead thought they made that pretty clear, that it was over run right in the beginning means there should be a lot more supplies in the prison than they have found . A small can? All the lights started turning on and I never saw them explain that there was only a small can of gas thanks for clearing that up...
And I've watched the show since season 1 it's just the show is really dumb right now.

- Yeah he had a small(yellow?) can marked diesel in the beginning of one of the eps. I mean yeah some of the writing, not only this season but last has been farfetched at times. But it's like that with a lotta shows where they ignore small details to make a more interesting story.
Hell, if it was me.. I would've just headed for the first large body of water I could find that had a decent ship and drop anchor. Only coming back for supplies.

- Well since the show doesn't really follow the comics step by step, we might even see Morgan this season. During filming of this season I remember the actor that plays Morgan said he was open to come back anytime they needed him. So maybe they did include him

why are we all talking in spoilers? there should just be a spoiler warning in the description of the thread. Most people who contribute to this thread watch this show and are on par

TONIGHT's EPISODE
- Spoiler:
- Michonne finally meets the group
It was kind of weak the way Merle got both Glen and Maggie as hostages, the writers could've done something better. Also the fight scene between Michonne and Merle was awful, the directing was piss poor there. CAROL is alive
Rick delivered another amazing performance, the phone was playing tricks on his mind, but I think it'll help him get through Lori's loss. Daryl was great once more. Andrea turned full slut this episode
Finally the two groups know/will know of each others existence. Shites heating up, it's about to hit the fan

Re: The Walking Dead
- Spoiler:
Forgot to talk about this week's episode.
It was pretty good overall. Andrea has completely lost it and now is probably my most hated character in the show. She will probably betray Rick and co later on for the Governor.
Glen and Maggie getting caught was a surprise. Was not expecting that at all. Have a feeling something bad will happen with them. Either merle cuts their hands or Governer feeds them to the walkers.
The phone call was pretty brilliantly done. Rick finally coming to his sense. Also at this point i think Lori is dead for good. Carol staying alive was not a shocker at all.
Michone in the endGreat addition to Rick's group
7/10 for me

Re: The Walking Dead
- Spoiler:
- Damn, it's about to go down next week. Mid season finale. Daryl vs Merle, I hope Daryl ends up killing him. And I guess that the Governor doing that experiment, was for his daughter?
There's probably gunna be at least 2 more deaths next week. If I had to bet; I guess Beth and Oscar, hopefully not Glenn or Maggie. As long as Rick, Glenn and Daryl survive, I'm good.

Re: The Walking Dead
- Spoiler:
- Michonne is such a tough, tough character. I like her more and more because she's not easily swayed by anyone, even a well-intentioned Rick and Co. One of the great things about this show is that it keeps characters like her and the Governor wrapped up in mystery and unravel subtley their secrets.
Andrea may be getting close to being the new Lori, but she's been showing some small, but subtle signs that she's slowing beginning to question what she sees in Woodbury. She may not be as dumb as we think after all if that scene with the dying man is anything to go by.
How about Glen though? Dude is a frakking warrior ffs. Took a vicious beating from Merle and still managed to take out a walker while tied up.... He's come a long, long way since the first season.
The rescue mission into Woodbury should be fantastic next week. Can't wait for Rick and the Governor to meet face to face.
