I think the greatest achievement is that we won with Bonera on for the majority of the game.

nocerino really surprised me. If he can keep up such performances, he would end up being a success

Re: Thank you
The goals really demonstrated who are our most important attacking players (without Pato):
1. Ibra --> Aquilani --> Nocerino --> GOAL
2. Ibra --> Robinho --> GOAL
3. Robinho --> Abate --> Cassano --> GOAL
Aqua and Nocerino performed well, almost as if to justify what I was saying a couple of weeks ago to some of you who were basically calling for their heads after only seeing a few games...
As has been said, Zlatman and Robin combined perfectly. :bball:
Robinho really surprised me because for most of last year his fitness was clearly off and he was fighting Cassano for a spot in the 2nd half of the season. However, apart from some sloppy touches at the start, he owned Palermo's defence. I wonder if his finishing has improved too?
Abate and Antonini playing as the WB's only helped Abate show how much better he is at defending and going forward. Nevertheless, Antonini was decent.
Bonera played. But we didn't lose!
Mexes should be back for BATE.
Silva is injured! But for how long?
Apparently it was caused by Illicic, when he kicked TS near the hip.
One other thing that should be noted is that Palermo have been horrible away from home this season- failing to score even one goal. This was definitely not a big test of our powers, but it was certainly important for a few reasons:
1. We should be regularly beating mid-table teams if we want to win the league.
2. We had a convincing win, where we kept possession, attacked frequently, and basically never looked like losing.
3. Palermo has been a tough team for us in the last few seasons.
4. Confidence. Morale was low, or at least 'reportedly' low, but now it seems this game is the early 'turning-point' of our season according to Allegri.
Finally, a convincing win for Milan!
... and Inter lost too. :lol!:

Re: Thank you
I just caught the game at the 7th min as typing:
7th-20th
The first thing you can notice is the high line defence, with crazy pressure in the opponents half, nice work rate by all the players including Ibra, he drops to the half line and slightly beyong to recieve the ball, make runs, and pass, the off ball movement is nice, whoever has the ball has more than option to go with.
20th-35th
Milan switched to moving our midfielders slightly back, easing pressure, and tried to find Binho whenever we had the ball, and that was understandable since it was'nt possible to maintain that rythem, our pressure started from our own half.
35th-45th
Milan went back to the opening mins, tactics.
The off ball movement was impressive.

Re: Thank you
Indeed, we came out the gate hungry for the win. ONCE AGAIN Allegri motivates the team and they deliver on important match days. I don't need to remind everyone of our classic games last season (Napoli/Inter 2nd half of the season, Barca this season). We needed that rest and we really needed Robinho back, I'm so glad he's back.
Once Pato is fit, I want to see him in that lineup in Cassano's spot, then the goals will flood in. I wonder if we will keep this formation up though. Allegri always preferred only two of ibra, cassano, pato, robinho, this was a unique game. Either way, it worked, and it was great.

Re: Thank you
Great result to get the team going again!
Pato, Ambro, Gattuso and KPB all to come back so squad getting back.
I'm sure soon Tawio will gt a game or two, as Ive always said, not his biggest fan, but i feel in ceetains games he can bring alot to the team.
Nice result!

i agree antonini will actually be solid if there is a good midfielder in front of him not slowdorf that normally stands in front of him and ponders how hes gonna lose the ball next...

I read somewhere that allegri wants to rotate,so he's gnu to start boateng instead of cassano against bate.

Rotate? Why? Because our strikers have obviously had enough playing time together.
Breaking up Ibra, Cass, Boa without any reason but rotation is just stupidity, as is playing Boateng at TQ or up forward, which is clearly out of position for him. If he wants to 'rotate', I hope he does it after we've broken BATE's defence a few times. The point of having good forwards is to make this type of game a formality, not to turn it into a struggle.
Great news that Silva's not injured.
