Elano in Spanish means the ... 
A few names of Spanish origin have direct translations, but most are boring like tower or castle or whatever.

this may sound racist and to some extent it is too, but
'kalou' - literally means black in hindi..
no offense to him though

'Kala' means black, and 'kalou' means a black person right? Worth noting that the tone of it is not formal, more of something you would say amongst friends. It would count as something offensive if fact for most people.

i know. thats why i put it here.. and it is an offensive term.. but when i was young and found kalou ws black and the relevance of his name i found it funny , but id offensive thats why i dont mean it and if anybody finds it offensive , sorry but i was just pointing the fact out

yeah, and there various ways of saying the hindi 'word' kalou , kalu too.. i used to call my best friend kallu, and another one kalu.... different pronounciations
