Official : Juve announce Giaccherini swoop

Emanuele Giaccherini is officially a Juventus player after he completed his move from Cesena.

The 26-year-old, who can play as a wide midfielder or a second striker, passed his medical this morning before putting pen to paper this afternoon.

Juventus agreed to hand over €6m to Cesena – to be paid over a period of three years – for the player’s registration.

However, the two clubs then agreed a co-ownership deal which will see Cesena pay €3m to the Old Lady – again over the course of three years.

We pay 3 mils for 50 % of him ...and Martinez is not involved

Thats some *bleep* up shit right there, you buy him for 6m and then sell 50% of that same player to the same club for 3m, why didn't Juve just bought his 50% in the 1st place and be done with it?

And btw Matri, Toni, Amauri, Iaquinta, Pasquato, Quaq, Vucinic, Del Piero, Martinez, Krasic, Pepe and now Giaccherini all for 4 places on the field, you really need to get rid of some dead weight there, and Juve doesn't play Europe, i think some players might complain during the season for not playing....

Toni and ADP will Retire/Leave next year anyway.
Pepe will be Sold/Loaned or just a backup, backup option.
Iaquinta and Amauri are as good as gone.
Martinez is part of this deal I think?

Yes we do have a lot of death weight but its hard to sell them because they don't want to leave because they're getting paid quite handsomely over here, and it's not beneficial for them to leave.

Iaquinta, Amauri, Martinez, Grygera, and Grosso would be beautiful to sell right now, sadly I don't think we'll be able too, and their contracts will slowly run out.

Juve got 50% right away.
Juve gets 100% and then sells 50% back to same team.

Its the same thing, Juve owns 50% of his contract, and Juve would own 50% if they got it straight away.
Dude i dont think you understand how co-ownership works.

Amauri will surely be gone
Iaquinta and Toni both should be gone but 1 could remain
Pepe should leave too in all honesty

Giaccherini can play as a winger on either side as well as a SS
Pasquato- SS/LW
Krasic- RW
Quagliarella- SS/ST
Matri- ST
Vucinic- LW/SS
Del Piero- SS

Really, Matri, Krasic, Vucinic + Pasquato or a new LW is the core group

Juve bought 100% of him, but Cesena has the option to buy 50% of him back for 3M.

Rather than Juventus buying him for 3M to get 50%, we opted to pay 6M to get 100%.

Buying him 100% makes less headaches, rather than paying 3M for 50%, to get half of him. If we would want to buy the other 50% of him at a later date, we would have to go into a blind auction if we can't agree on a fee.

Co-ownerships are stupid, this one just makes a bit more sense.

How's this possible, Devi just posted above that the full amount is 6m in which makes it 100%, so no we didn't get a 100% as we co-own him as Cesena as well. Both parties own 50% of the player, nobody has 100%.

I think Toni will stay. He only has a year left and his salary is only like 1.5 million euros. Outside of Matri, we don't have many tall pure strikers. It doesn't hurt to keep Toni around in case of emergencies.
