Too much talent but how well does it come together? The team play is improving but it still does not look like the finished article. I doubt the best formation and lineup is set in stone.

Do you like the idea of playing Griezmann as a number 9? I like it more than seeing him on the wings. It allows Pogba to play at the left of a midfield three where he is most effective and being able to play an extra midfielder may allow France to take better control of the game. Giroud can be used more as an impact substitute.

We're very much like Real Madrid... we play our best against teams that come out and play us. We don't do that well when teams PTB or sit back. Very direct players with speed. Don't like to build up. DD is a Serie A manager for all intents and purposes tactically and that's how we set up.

As a result, our performances may look uneven. But we're most dangerous against the bigger teams as a result.

Had a lot of injuries too. This is the first time that, other than Koscielny, we have our complete squad since before the Euro (Varane was out for the Euro).

I had some similar thoughts. This team lacks quality build up, relies on fast attackers and a lot of individual quality in the final third.

Come to think of it what you just said might explain why France beat Germany at Euro 2016 and then succumbed to Portugal.

Amazing! Giroud and Matuidi both benched with Dembele and Tolisso getting the nod according to l'Equipe. They saw both of them look really dejected in the afternoon practice session once they were told about their change in status.

Sidibe also out for this game injured.

Complete shit game. Kimpembe is a numpty CB. Pavard is crap now. Digne doesn't belong. Thauvin doesn't belong.

I hope France doesn't become Mbappe reliant. Until he came in and got into the game after a few minutes... we had nothing going. Everyone on the team were waiting for him to do something. In the end he did by forcing the OG and also scoring the PK... only one who scared the opponent.

Need the heart of Matuidi, Kante and Hernandez. I'd play Zouma over Kimpembe.

Also, Giroud is useless.

The team is really looking good... granted, competition wasn't great. But always hard against PTB teams; especially thugs like Iceland.

At the WC, believe it or not, Griezmann and Mbappe really hadn't figured out how to play with each other. Pavard was still very green with Varane figuring out how to help him.

Now, Mbappe and Griezmann understand each other like they've known each other for years while Pavard is far more confident since Varane is anticipating him now.

Giroud is actually scoring goals too lol.

And to think that Lucas, Dembele and Martial are injured while Lacazette and Ben Yedder can't make the team.

I personally feel that it's a disgrace that Lemar and Thauvin are keeping Laca ad Ben Yedder off the team. But that's just me maybe.

Kimpembe should not be chose over Laporte either.
