I heard about this, IMO we should let him go. Hes a good player, should be getting more action. We dont need him right now, maybe it will open more space for Canales in the future.

I agree and he will do well with Pelli, but I wonder what Mou will do (allow). Gago was pretty well in same situation last fall and yet Mou refused to allow him to go. Said he needed the back-up!!!!

I'm trying to stir things up on the Arsenal board that they should go after Granero... he would be perfect in their system.

Well at least we have Lassana "Guess what minute I'll be booked" Diarra and Coentrao "I'm such a great LB, I play CM" Coentrao.

Don't forget Golden Balls Altintop.

Because the Arsenal board clearly decides over such matters.

Anyway, I really hope he doesn't go. He is my second favourite player at Madrid, a canterano and has great potential. We would certainly regret this one in the future. It is really beyond me why LASS has been getting more time than he has. Not because Lass is bad (although that is debatable clearly), but because Lass has shown terrible mentality, whereas Esteban always works hard and also delivers.

Arsenal fan here

We have been linked with this player in the press the last week pretty much everyday. I would like to know little bit more about what type of player he is and what his strength is. Also would he be a decent replacement for Fabregas or is he more defensive?

Granero is just your average CM who can pass the ball. He's a bit slow so he'd be a DLP or a pure CM.

I don't think Arsenal need him. Arteta's use to the EPL. And if Arsenal were to get a playmaker they should get someone like Hazard.

We might find out next week if Mou is willing to let him go or not!!! By normal standards the starting midfield for this first Copa game should be Granero and Sahin and if not starting they both should get some playing time. If Granero is truely on the outs with Mou, then he won't get into game and we can assume he goes in January to the highest bidder. If he does play, it likely means he is getting one last chance to show Mou that he deserves some playing time.

I still think Mou likes to have a full squad available and doesn't give a damm if the players have to constantly sit on bench. In his mind he seems to rate Coentrao and Lass ahead of him for midfield. Not sure yet what his opinion on Altintop is. Mou does have the numbers in the midfield to let him go, but I think he will force him to stay.

You're the second guy that has said this. oops I made a mistake. It's only Barcelona that is playing the first game next week. We play Ponferradina away Dec 13th and at home Dec 21st. Shit, this screws up my prediction of 9 wins before Classico.

Thats exactly what I thought from the little impression I had of him and the videos I watched. he's exactly like Arteta. We definitely dont need another central midfielder. We need a attacking midfielder who can score and create on more consistent bases than young ramsey

I think the only reason he played was to show him off to potential suitors. I keep hearing that Liverpool is in for him.

Agree with this. It's the same with what Fergie did with Gibson, he gave him the game against Wigan to show Everton what he's capable of. Not comparing the two, as Granero is on a different planet to Gibson. Anyway, I think Granero is off, he's not received the playing time under Mourinho, his development has stalled and, to be honest, I don't think he'll make it to world class status, which is a shame considering the potential he showed at Getafe.
