Same here, surely the club could have stood its ground and ensured a better deal for Juventus.
I can't see anything about this on the Juventus site - though I'm not familiar with it so I may simply be looking in the wrong places - and the Galatasary page for their team isn't loading. What source is actually confirming this as official?

It is probably a loan with obligation to buy, otherwise it's a very stupid piece of business.

They offered him to us in exchange for Meireles too which we turned down.
Why is Juventus this desperate to flog him off?I thought he had a really good season last season.
I can understand selling him due to his age and replacing him with Vidal but on loan.Surely having him would only increase Juve's squad depth?
Stupid move is an understatement IMO.

Perhaps they've done this so that any transfer fee would arrive next season when they hope to be in Europe and then under the restrictions of Financial Fair Play?
Good replacement for Lorik Cana at Galatasary, if true.

I don't know why this happened... Maybe so we can bring him back if Vidal fails? It's possible.

I've checked both the English and Turkish versions of Galatasaray's site, and it's not there- so the detail is incorrect. Meanwhile, TMW states that it's a loan with a right for redemption.

Don't blame on me. Tuttojuve said that it is official, and their report seemed credible. Anyways, it is just about time it becomes official.

I doubt Melo would want to go back to where he was forced out, plus if he has a buyout clause Juve have to choice but to sell him.

Melo wanted out as well. We didn't force him.

Well, he was the only one who supported Del Neri, right?
If he's getting a pay raise... that's probably a good enough reason, greedy bugger.

Re: OFFICIAL: Felipe Melo joins Galatasaray on loan.
The latest i read is that Galatasaray offer a much higher salary than Juve.
Melo is a warrior (well atleast when he is not jogging and thinking about what to do with his money) but i seriously doubt there is any Zebra blood pumping in his veins.
The biggest problem is that nobody wants Melo and we cant have such an expensive midfielder on the bench either. Vidal is better in almost every area. I guess our best hope is that he does well over there and they decide to buy him.
You do see to wich team he is going right? That there already say someting about his demand...
He had a good last season. (atleast according to some of us here on the forum) But actually the experts down in Italy have a pretty different opinion about his season. I think its just time to realise that Seccos Melo was another flop.
Another thing we cant possibly know is what kind of atmosphere Melo brings to the dressing room. It might just be that the players want him gone.

odd move.
Why loan him? Should of kept him for depth or flat out sold him off

If this happened last summer it would make sense. So how do you improve a team which finished 7th? Sell one of it's best players of course. Well done Mr Marrota.
