if only Liverpool were not the best team in Europe and the best team in the world that argument might have had some substance.

You have a personal problem with Mahrez? Gündogan and Rodri were far worse not to mention substitutes Cancelo and Jesus who made poor decision after poor decision.

Mahrez is the clown who needs 5 dangerous opportunities to produce something. KDB put him in such a good position to just cutback the ball to Gundogan or Aguero and Mahrez decides to pass the ball behind them...

He's also the one who gave that awful corner which led to Zinchenko conceding a tactical foul and getting a red card which ended up being the reason City lost.

The game was already lost when Jesus and Cancelo came on. City lost the game because of their forwards who are also shying away from penalties now because they can't score them for shite. I don't rate Rodri and I only think Gundogan is good as a DM (bad penalty from him too). So I don't care about them.

I understand and agree that Mahrez wasn't good and wasted a number of opportunities. But you singled him out as costing City the match, not Gündogan who constantly lobbed the ball with no aim hoping someone would get on the end of his balls, not being able to drive his team forward, constantly back passing or hiding behind Spurs players (or otherwise not working hard to make himself available to be passed too), missing the penalty, missing a decent open goal chance. What about Rodri whom I still don't understand what exactly he is good at. Before the match I asked why Stones and Otamendi don't play together so Fernandinho can move to his preferred and comfortable position. I'm still waiting for that answer. I presume someone will say Pep doesn't trust them together. They can't be worse than this current CB pairing, or at least deserve some chance to redeem themselves. Agree about Cancelo and Jesus being introduced late into the game, but that does not warrant playing so poorly. They both played worse than Mahrez.

Let them continue to fall into the dark pit of denial and clutching at straws to make reality fathomable and acceptable to their emotionally broken minds.

Tbf I wrote that post as soon as they got the red card, which came off the failed Mahrez corner. I don't genuinely think he's the sole reason City lost today. Laughing

Stones is shit atm and is being ostracized because of his showing against Crystal Palace. Before that he was injured.

Honestly, if it means Pep suffering, Liverpool winning the title is fair. Sacrifices need to be made. May Zidane add more suffering to the bald fraud.

I think Emery killed his adaptation process. You've had so many new managerial changes since he's come now I think and I've not see him cement his place in any.

Hitting some form till the end and a proper pre-season with the team and manager should get him much more ready.

We'll see. PL title is for this season and we'll see if you're the best team in Europe this season.

That being said I don't really know why anyone would care about the level of other teams. Winning the title isn't worth any less just because of that.

3 managers now (Emery, Ljungberg, Arteta) who have left him out of the starting XI

I wouldn't write Pepe off completely yet but I was very skeptical before he joined and it's going about as well as I expected. Nishankly seems optimistic still but he has some weird fetish for the man since he saw him bang in a few penalties in France. :coffee:

looking like he could be an expensive flop

Man scored or assisted almost every game for my town's club. Saw him live. Proud

I was vocal and always had reservations about his contribution to Arsenal considering his style of play and knack for dead ball goals and also considering Arsenal's squad but I didn't expect him flop at this magnitude nor did I expect Arsenal to be this bad. Laughing
