Fred is a really good footballer. Dont see why he doesnt get more respect. Shakey start, but he was the best MU player out there by a mile.

Liverpool have churned out a couple of victories this season, but like someone else pointed out, that’s a typical sign of a dominant/persistent team. Real Madrid certainly had a lengthy period like that when we won the double. We also had multiple goalscorers that season, including defenders and midfielders.

I know it was a long time ago, but your statement made me remember something along the same lines that was said back in 2008 when United was an unbelievably stacked team and undoubtedly the strongest team in the world. Teams would come to Old Trafford and if they lose by just one-nil, they would leave with their heads held high.
Oh well...that's just football for you.
Well football happens in cycles. We had our time. Grateful for that. Let them have theirs now.

16 points clear with a game in hand? Still hasn't lost a game 22 games into the season? Have I witnessed such a complete, brutal and utter dominance in PL's recent history before?! I think not.

Should have won that 5-0 but it's only 3 points at the end of the day and they all go in the money box.

We have missed so many chances tonight. We were also sloppy at times. Lot to do, lads; keep up.

Liverpool nearly 20 points ahead if they win their game in hand. Embarrassing for the PL.

It really is.
Imagine what people would say if something like this happened in Bundesliga or Ligue 1

There are only two quality teams in the PL this season so yeah
it's not usual for the league, but Spurs, Chelsea, United and Arsenal are all terrible
it is what it is
unlike Bundesfodder and Serie A which are this pathetic for years and years, PL teams will rebound.

Just one
Really think Sheffield United might be the 2nd most impressive team in the PL after Liverpool.

I haven't watched a single game this season but i have to agree with RG looking at the table, City losing 5 games is pretty bad for that team.

Gomez has started the last 7 EPL games and Liverpool have kept 7 clean sheets. Very underrated player tbh.

More so then quality and talent. City are far behind Liverpool because of Pep and this is coming from one of Team Pep members, he has been terrible from tactics, selections, subs and squad management. This City team should be around 50 points

Re: 2019/2020 Premier League Discussion: Chapter III
I don’t watch City consistently, but from what I can tell, their recent failures has more to do with their relatively weak defense being particularly exposed in Laporte’s absence, as well as certain players not quite performing up to their usual standards. City have had their time in the spotlight, can’t blame the players for no longer being as motivated to fight for the league title as they used to.
Over the past 6 years, they’ve won it 3 times, and two of those were in the last two seasons. They have the most talent-wise stacked team in England, which makes it difficult to determine exactly what level of decisive impact Pep has had on the team, but I really can’t rationalize him being the reason why they’re going through a slump at the moment.

Yeah, January and February have been the worst months for us recently. February also has the CL; so we have to stay focused.Helmer wrote:RealGunner wrote:Liverpool nearly 20 points ahead if they win their game in hand. Embarrassing for the PL.

To be completely frank Cancelo-Fernandinho-Stones-Mendy is a pretty shit back line. Otamendi too. I wouldnt take any of them for our Barca team and we don't have the best defensive line either.

Actually I had done the research, March is the worst month. January had more draws than February but February had more losses and lesser draws. So it's March, January, February then December as the historical data goes for Klopp in the worst months.
Wolves away next, easily the third toughest game of the season after City away and United away. A win there and I'll be bouncing ffs

It's quite categorical of Liverpool. Even if United would have equalized, we would have moved the gear up by two and beaten them. We've just become way too confident. It was absolutely correct what I read on this thread earlier, maybe it was Danjyr, you have to make Liverpool doubt themselves or it's going to be really hard to get anything out of the game.

We were very sloppy, in defense and in attack, yesterday. Wolves are a no-nonsense team and we have to be good.
