6 penalties for Rashford, how desperate can you be to even include him in a discussion, Milner vs Rashford more an apt comparison.

For the first seven seasons of last decade (starting from 2009-10) the average points of the Champion was 85 while in last three seasons it's been 97. The average point for 4th placed club over the decade was 72 and it was pretty evenly spread.

Of course De Gea. Has been there since 2012 ffs and has also been the single best and most important player of the club in the last 5 seasons.

De Gea isn’t even comfortable with speaking English, according to himself. Juan Mata seems like a more logical choice to me, based on seniority. Then again, he’s not among the nailed down starters. Neither was Young, for that matter hmm

Making Maguire captain seemed odd to me, but there aren’t any good candidates for the role. I’m guessing he’s the guy who’s shown the most leadership qualities, which presumably matters more than his quality as a player.

De Gea isn't a natural leader (and I don' think he gives a shit about United but that's just me).
Mata would be my choice between the two of them, but the problem there is that Mata's role has been minimal and he seems to be halfway out of the door at United.

I'd still choose Maguire over both of them, though.

If I was asked to list United's center-backs I probably would have forgotten Bailly.

Since when did he become your best CB? hmm Neither him, nor Maguire are particularly great. Smalling has more pace and offers more of an attacking threat, for what it matters. Maguire is more consistent, and in my opinion, more defensively solid - less prone to lose his composure. They’re both unspectacular. I think Soyuncu is better than both of them. No, Valk, that doesn’t mean that I think Soyuncu is flawless or exceptional.
