That's pure speculation.

A shaky, young Chelsea side (VERY inexperienced in CL) and a defensive Spurs in transition led by a dinosaur coach might've put up the same volume of fight as Napoli.

Always thinks its gonna be easy, but it never is, especially with this Barca team these days. Should be easy, but wouldnt be surprised if we get outplayed in large parts again and scrape through on 1 goal or away goals or something like that lol.

Oddly enough if this was still Carlo at the helm I'd almost put Napoli as the favourites as their team is the type to cause Barca problems along with his 2-legged tactics being the best in the world of sorts.

Sadly Gattuso has basically zero European experience and despite his impressive ideas he has the composure of a badger on the sidelines.


This also goes for Napoli have a very poor defence as a whole collectively and cannot see them stopping the obvious individuals of Barca.

Should be pretty easy for us despite us being a bit weak lately, plus knowing Gattuso is coaching them The only worry for us is as always if we get complacent during periods in the tie, and when we cant handle the periods of pressure if the opponent suddenly play a Roma/Liverpool like tempo, which I dont see Napoli acble to do though.

Overall tie should be clear for Barca, but just this match seems difficult to predict.

It's hard to know which Napoli and which Barca will show up. Napoli has both, beat and lost to Lazio, and beat and lost to Inter, beat Juve, but loses to Lecce, Fiorentina, etc.

Both teams changed coaches, both coaches are debuting in CL right?

In the end I think Messi will be too much and give Barca the win.

It's easy to predict. Either a narrow Napoli win or a draw. Small chances for Messi individual action to take the game narrowly.

Other than Messi no one really creates any danger in this team and Messi in away CL games might also not do much. Griezmann has about 3 goals in his last 10 games, midfield does create nothing and defense is wobbly. With Ancelotti they would have won this easily in Italy, with Gattuso there is a small chance for Barca to get away with a narrow result that is good enough to turn it around at Camp Nou.

This is not the Napoli that most of European viewers have gotten to know and respect.

Be that Sarri's Serie A dominating Napoli or Ancelotti with his expected European successes in UCL.

Gattuso has been a mixed bag so far as his ideas simply do not suit a team that are so used to playing differently compared to his more rigid set-up wth ephemeral positives.

Barça are not at their best either of course but let it be known Koulibaly is out for the game, and is their only notable defensive player and one who can stop Messi.

Koulibaly out and already Napoli in poor form makes this a formality for Barça. San Paolo or not this is basically a formality for the Catalans.

Would have been vastly different if Ancelotti was still on board. Way different.

Napoli absorbed way too much pressure and not wise given Koulibaly is not there to lead their defence as he does so well but the counter is released and Mertens receives the lateral pass missed by Insigne and curls it from 20 yards into the right corner.
