Isco would always be one of my fav players but he really is surplus to requirements. Like a poor version of Guti. Or maybe he just needs to go start anew somewhere else.

Needless to say, if Nacho wasn't so much shit, doubt Valencia would have gotten a goal.

Every team in LL play us like it is a CL final. Look at Alaves a couple of weeks ago

I am happy in hindsight. We really did not create many chances

Their goal was avoidable but when both Kroos and Modric play together only the DM is left to help the defence leaving 3-4 opposition players totally free in the box. Kroos is playinh at an amazing and he's being dragged down by Modric

Also have to comment on Varane. Does that boy ever pass to anyone other than Ramos and on occasions Carvajal?? He dwells on the ball until all his outlets are marked then he predictably passes to Ramos who has to bypass 2-3 with a pass. What will be of this defence when Ramos retires

Yeah, Varane has reached levels I'm not accustomed to i.e not particularly good. Him and Carvajal tbh. The latter is constantly getting yelled at by Modric for constantly screwing up an attack. The sad thing, both were legit great not too long ago. These days, sigh, hoping Militao gets a run and, I don't know, some French RB pops up in Ligue 1 so we can buy that guy.

Agreed. Neuer is probably more beneficial to the midfield than Isco currently.

The fix is easy for varane and the mid field when it comes to dwelling on the ball, just launch it for the forwards to chase.

We don't have fast forwards to chase a ball. Our attackers play with their backs to goal. Impossible and I wouldn't want us to do that. Ramos has no problem finding passes to whomever. Varane just holds on holds on holds on then turns around and plays it to either Ramos on Courtois

and by that I mean, you don't call a player "fraud" when he's just simply poor, or mediocre. That's not fraudulent, that's just poor, or mediocre.
Isco is a fraud because he seems much better to the casual observer than he actually is after close inspection, and because he's supposed to be this fantastic player but his performances just don't add up to one.
He even topped up the fraudulence by throwing in one or two pretty excellent and promising seasons before deciding to offer nothing at all for years and years
