That's why, as much as I like Ole as a player, and knowing full well someone else won't really turn this ship around without a massive squad overhaul, I think he has to go, just because it can't get worse than it is and maybe we can benefit from a new manager bump.

Heads need to roll. Woodward has to go. Ole has to go. We need to start building towards that from tomorrow morning. So long as we're actually working towards something and not aimlesslty shambling about every week, I'll be content.

Those are actually fair points. It's your constant, weekly "OMG we suck" "Ole out, Ole out, Ole out" that are beyond redundant already.

I think you'd look substantially better with a proper goalscorer and without the constant injuries, though. I had thought the likes of Ashley Young would be gone by now, but your squad is thin as shit. I don't imagine any coach worth their weight in salt, would want to inherit this project, so you're probably looking at someone like Darren Fletcher as the interim coach.
what someone like lukaku Very Happy

Lukaku wanted out of the club, according to both himself and Ole. I imagine he would've created another Pogba situation, had he stayed. Of course, that would've been on Ole as well hmm

The goal and all of the good attacks came down WB's side and he wasn't playing. United's attack is shite though.

Lukaku wanted out because Ole benched him, plain and simple.
And what is a Pogba situation? Pogba may have wanted to leave but he's not doing anything wrong and behaving professionally. Lukaku would have done the same had they refused to sell him.

However, I have the feeling the Utd owners might have imposed a cap on spending without CL football.
It might be that actually the Lukaku money was decided to be necessary to complete the Maguire purchase, after United had already spent 75m € on Wan Bissaka and Daniel James

Lukaku stayed in Belgium and trained with Anderlecht when he was supposed to train with Man United. Super professional. I don't know how you can predict that they would've hypothetically done anything, classic GL mind reading. Sure, let's say Pogba is behaving professionally - What does that say about his level of quality? The match against Arsenal was his best performance so far this season, by a substantial margin. His other performances have been profoundly poor.

The thing I want to know about, when Ole is sacked, is how much of the transfer window he was involved in, I may have said this before, it's possible he wouldn't even talk about it considering he's very much a part of the club and likely will be in the future in some capacity. The way he's told it before, it seems like he's been behind every move made but I do remember him reiterating a few times that if Lukaku got sold he would absolutely be replaced. Obviously that didn't happen.

Really want to know so I know where to direct the majority of my criticism, because as most know I was very critical of the moves we were making during the window. Sad it before, almost seemed like self-sabotage. I suspect it was 90% Woodward 10% Ole.

United and Ole disrespected Lukaku by playing Rasford ahead of him. like wtf? Lukaku is 15x the player Rashford is, of course he wanted out. you need to have poop in your eyes to make him compete with Rashford.

I have no doubt our spending power was capped this summer but in that case, as I've said time and time again, it made no sense to drop 80M on a CB, that while good, is not a massive upgrade on Smalling. Other areas needed addressing much, much more. As we're seeing.

tbf the signings oli made were good ones even if 2 of them were over priced. james and awb are very good young players and gerry maguire if far better than they had. losing lukaku for what ever reason it was is whats killing them.

The thing is, strikers were available. Icardi was available. Mandzukic was available. Higuain was available. All of them world class strikers. Hell, Daniel Sturridge was available on a free.

I think the injuries are killing them as well. I'm so fucking tired of watching Ashley Young, man Laughing

Ole actually said in a Norwegian interview that he was a big fan of Dybala, so I had assumed you would at least have shown interest in him during the transfer window. Didn't you say you didn't like Dybala, though?

I don't think Dybala is as good as his reputation is among casuals. He's not elite. But there's no doubt he's better than anything we've got. I'm sure that was a legit link, by all accounts it was. Seemed like we were fully focused on him and not looking at anyone else though and it dragged on too long and left the board scrambling with no alternatives.

Yes, maybe, but Ole had just proclaimed this policy of only signing who wants to be there and not overpaying for mercenaries anymore.
So it makes only sense the transfer didn't materialize.

Barcelona still owe Liverpool over $100 million to complete their transfer for Coutinho.

A new report published by the club revealed that they still owe over $286 million to other teams for transfer.

Barcelona are also in debt to Bordeaux, Valencia, and Ajax for recent transfers.

We're dominating even without the Coutinho money, imagine how good we will be when Barcelona pay up :kreygasm:

Looks real painful, but things are definitely not going Spurs way has he's out till 2020.
