Well that's the thing: we will be playing 16-18 year olds as well. I expect an open game if we both follow the script. I just hope you guys don't toss on Salah or Mane for the last 15 minutes

Big news is obviously him, Holding and Tierney all starting together.

Lowkey news is that this side clearly demonstrates who'll be in starting line-up vs Bournemouth on Sunday. The omission of Saka from the squad altogether, presumably in preparation for that game, shows how quickly his stock has risen.

Besides the outstanding finishing, it's been a meh showing tbh. Too much space being left in midfield again. Standard Liege have gotten forward just by playing one direct pass.

This is why I don't think Torreira is a great DM. Can't do it on his own.

Don‘t really rate Torreira that highly so not hugely surprised at this performance.

Ceballos is a huge disappointment though, since that Burnley game he has been poor. Keeps the ball for too long and has no end product, offers nothing but side ways passing. Expected a lot more from him.

The main concern for me is, again, the lack of a coherent defence. Just annoys me seeing players standing so high up the pitch but nobody making the effort to close down. Plus Mustafi/Holding being really reluctant to push up the pitch.

I get it's an EL game and all, so the intensity isn't going to be there, but it's a consistent issue.

4-0 FT. Team did everything to get Martinelli his hat-trick and Pepe a goal, but wasn't to be.

I was happier with the off the ball work in the second half. Ceballos especially was everywhere at once.

Martinelli was amazing. His running off the ball and work rate were exceptional, and he had end product as well. Want to see him get a chance in the PL soon.
