The second one was dumb.

The first one shouldn’t have counted with the new rules. Old rules it would’ve been good though.

This team is so weird always afraid to kick the ball directly up the pitch and cause some problems, instead dwell on the ball cause their trying to force same pass to the wings, same shit tactic that teams have figured out and Zz has zero answers he better call mou and Carlo for advice before he get fired.

sports is trying so hard to justify our loss to PSG without their front three rofl

Dude, it's absolutely inexcusable. Even I, who don't rate Benzema or Bale that high and have always thought that Hazard can't be relied upon to show up every time you're struggling, still think that we had a good enough squad to beat this PSG.

Even Rennes for god's sake beat PSG this season and they still had Mbappe and Cavani with them.

There's no excuse for this loss. Sure, having a very bad goalkeeper doesn't help, but Zidane had enough talent last night to defeat them.

This is all on him.

The game was not a masterclass by any means just pairing players who complimented one another extremely well to which many fantasy football viewers do not understand as of yet. Skill is the x-factor but of a star does not combine well with another its more of a headache than a challenge.

Zidane just had no gameplan and I genuinely am beginning to think despite his great ideas on paper, Cristiano did indeed carry him as seeing the difference Ronaldo makes for Juventus even when not scoring is unreal.

The squad is a shadow of what it was in 15, 16, 17 etc from Kroos to Modric to Carvajal and cannot keep up with the same demands that they did before and just somehow look a step behind and or just not really there in terms of team chemistry.

Lack of fullback cycling on field without even an underlap to the midfield being sluggish to move the ball forward to Hazard being used incorrectly tells me the ideas Zidane has rely upon players he had, and players who are not the same as they were.

If he knows Florentino's faith in him he should use that as time to redevelop some very stale and rather predictable tactics, instead of building his team to shaft in his two unspectacularly talented children, or hoping Hazard hits magic out of nowhere.

Plus Courtois is just a bad goalkeeper all around.

dont care how bad Madrid were yesterday but that was some top class quick non Pep passing football from PSG under Tuchel. I doubt Liverpool are any close to even get out of the group so I wish Tuchel wins CL but without Neymar please.

Was wondering about this actually. Weird to see Pesg wear away kit when playing at home. Laughing

I agree, Madrid without Ronaldo is an entirely different team, a shitty team. But plenty of teams are winning without Ronaldo or Messi. One of them even won the CL recently.

If the only possible way for you to beat PSG without Neymar, Cavani and Mbappé is to have Ronaldo, then you're a shitty coach and the €300m you spent were a bad investment.

Having Ronaldo on the team is a massive advantage though. Not only is he a great presence on the pitch, not only he scores for fun but he also takes up a large portion of the defensive line's attention which provides more space and options for others.

If you rely on that and then suddenly take it away, it's very difficult to re-adjust, especially with an aging and unmotivated squad.

Also Zidane is a bald fraud.

I feel the same anytime Barcelona does shit as well without Messi. Give it time my friend.

Also, getting Sports to blame Zidane is like asking me to not hope Robes suffer. It ain't happening. Zidane is the manager and regardless of what he did or did not do, he's the one running the team and would have to accept responsibility (which I am absolutely sure he does). If people can give him credit for wins, he has to take responsibility for losses.

I do get why Real Madrid fans continually tend to downplay Cristiano's influence on their play and titles won as its a common phenomenon from club supporters.

Why? So the club's winning identity is not built around the individual but the collective and of course that shines a better light upon the status of the team (keyword team) then it being carried by one.

I did the same during Zlatan in Milan convincing myself our more mobile structure without him would mean Zlatanindependência.

Sadly that was not the case as for whatever drawbacks Zlatan had with his lack of mobility and things centring around him he compensating far above with his playmaking, goals and general x-factor added.

Same with Cristiano as yes he can be frustrating even if tactically he is far ahead of what he was before but lets not kid ourselves here.

The whole Benzema suffered with him or the same category of debate of what Real without him is sound on paper but is there to see on what is happening with Real Madrid now.

Definitely not the only cause but a huge one.

Ronaldo was 4 levels above any attacker Madrid had at the time.

They just gotta learn to live without CR7, it's natural. You don't just get rid of that brilliant man and retain the same level.

Hazard is a goofball. Fiat and Ferrari type of situation. Don't even get me started on the other two. Them all dorks put together are still far behind Ronaldo.

Some, some Madrid fans downplay Ronaldo's accomplishments at the club. Like folks who predict the 2nd coming of Christ, they don't know what they speak of. Ronaldo was ridiculously immense for us and didn't need fucking Benzema to score. I mean, he actually made Jjuve a side that could actually win a CL (don't mind they are too much shit to actually accomplish such things but that's another topic) and still puts in goals for them. Benzema plays for Jjuve too or what?!

In any case, Madrid had 0 shots on target and played absolute dog shit football. That ain't got nothing to do with long gone Ronaldo or Benzema, that shit is on Zidane and how he has the team playing. The shape ain't looking good Sad

But I suppose Pogba would solve that...

Lol, reading the above, the more I learn the more I realized how silly the football world can be, I mean some of these biggest clubs, are just run by these ppl who are so rich and arrogant (including Barca) they often dont listen to their managers who they hire or have the common sense to stick to what works best on the pitch, and just make these strange deals with players that are not best for the team (I guess sometimes they do them so they pocket some of the money for themselves etc.).

I dont think we should be surprised anymore by these, and should just get used to it and accept its the norm Razz

I do feel for u all, Flo is just especially bad amongst them. I mean Real fans still dont know why for example Diego Lopez was let go, the same been happening with Navas for the past couple of years Very Happy
