Permission to add the Hans-Dembele bromance in the same bracket as Chad-Benzema and Harmonica-Messi.

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
Once upon a time a German
Had a one nighter with an African woman
Soon after a boy was born
Who would make culés feel torn
The love child was named Ousmane
He was French, he was no Germane
It was said he would play like Pele
That's what Hans thought of Dembélé
He missed sitters, but never a KFC
But Hans kept refusing to see
That his boy was utterly hopeless
Much like Bayern, our dearest hapless

At least, Benzema and Messi have great club careers, as well as season-defining performances on their respective resumés. Hans' golden boys are, off the top of my head, Dembele and Paul Pogba

Are there any Atletico supporters here? In fact are there anyone who supports a club other than Barca or Real?

Thanks, for the greetings. Yes I have browsed a bit but the members seem from a rather select group of clubs. No members even from clubs like Dortmund, Napoli, Atletico etc.BarrileteCosmico wrote:Welcome. Welcome. Yes most members are Madrid, Barca, Arsenal, Juve, United, Liverpool, Milan but there is also Sevilla, Roma, Inter, Valencia, Chelsea, Boca, City, Spurs, Bayern, St Pauli, Newcastle, etc. Most members watch enough games of other teams to always discuss them as well.
If you are asking about other members badges and flags, they are mostly correct but they get switched around every once in a while for banter.

Welcome Duronto
I've been a huge Atletico Madrid supporter in February but they've lost against Juve 3-0.
Are you Colchonero ?

I always thought it was loosely translated to "the Mattress makers" but your boy, Google, gave me a far better explanation:
The history of the name ‘colchonero’ goes back to the post-Spanish Civil War period. At that time, the fabric of mattresses was white and red stripes, like Atletico Madrid’s kit, so their rivals started to use the term ‘colchoneros’ when talking about the club
No Colchester United unfortunately

Mr. Morte, you have a witty sense of humor almost chocked reading your line, ha ha ha.
No Mr. Robespierre, I'm not a Atletico fan, par se. But I do appreciate their effort to relive us from the boredom a continual two-horse race.

I had/have a thing for Valencia back in the days. Though I check their happenings from time to time, I don't watch much aside Liverpool games.Duronto-Roddur wrote:Are there any Atletico supporters here? In fact are there anyone who supports a club other than Barca or Real?

These forum(s) have existed for longer than a decade, and I've been part of them since 2008, myself. We used to be a relatively large group of people on the original Goal.com forums and when that one got closed down we moved to a different forum, we were a massive group of people, to the point where it was at times difficult to keep up with all of the threads and topics that were being created. Someone decided that we needed to move to yet another forum, and that's this one.
Our active group of members has diminished down to just a handful of people, but we're all quite familiar with each other at this point, and I'm sure you'll be annoyed by the memes and inside jokes. We've already chased away the majority of the female members. Just don't ask what age people are, that seems to be a topic that the majority of us prefer to either lie about or hide completely Welcome to the forum, by the way!

Thank you my friend. Pardon me, but I find it odd to address you Mr. Gunner. Hope you catch my drift.RealGunner wrote:Welcome Duoronto. Hope to see you for a long time here.

I have been wandering. Most of the forums are pretty club specific and most of the members, I will be courteous, not so good. I also tried to chat about football on some social networking sites too.

Oh no, no Mr. Robespierre; I have given my heart to Liverpool long time ago. Though I'm not ashamed to admit that I have had some discretion. But nothing major, I assure you. Something that would only invite a cold stare not even worth throwing the vase.Robespierre wrote:Duronto-Roddur wrote:Aaah, that would explain some curious combinations.rincon wrote:

Same lol
To be fair, this was the most sensible thing to do. Absolutely typical that it took so long for the Spanish FA to do the most sensible thing but it is what it is. Their original idea was to have it play at the Bernabeu which both Barcelona and Madrid straight up rejected. I think they both preferred it to be played at a later date, which again, made more sense.

Re: La Liga 19/20 - The new Era
Barcelona and Real Madrid's La Liga match later this month has been postponed by the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF) amid fears of civil unrest in Catalonia.
The move comes after La Liga requested that the match, which was scheduled to take place in Barcelona's Nou Camp stadium on Saturday, October 26, be moved to Madrid's Bernabeu stadium.
Tensions have heightened in Barcelona after Monday's decision to jail nine Catalan separatist leaders for between nine and 13 years for their role in an illegal referendum and subsequent failed independence bid.
catalan has a right to independence and the spanish are nothing more than dictators. justice for Catalonia imo.

Shame, would have liked it to be played on our training ground at the Bernabeu. Safest 3 points of the season.
