Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
Thing is Ricochet matches were having emotional impact in NXT, this is what irks me about main roster fans who say NXT is better at work rate.
What makes NXT so good is the importance applied to the matches and characters and the emotional investment behind them, something main roster has completely forgotten how to do.
With that said getting 5 moves over and being able to use them to tell a story and get people invested is way more impressive.
The moves aren't that important, they never have been. Nakamura said this on Chris Jericho podcast when he first joined WWE" Moves don't matter much, it's what you do in between and how you get there which matters" which i absolutely agree with.

1000000000000000000000% Agree
Cena is such a terrible example for this. Most of his US title open challenge matches were just big moves after big moves with kickouts and 0 storytelling in between lol. Lets not even get started on his finisher spam world title matches.
His matches with CM Punk was peak main roster wrestling though.

In my WWE watching days I remember the Edge entrance on a live viewing in Madison Square and its way way better in person as a whole along with the whole WWE experience, to be honest. His entrance is absolutely electric, in person.

Didn't know Drew was this over. Looks like he's improved a lot. From jobber to facing Lesnar at WM. Needs his Broken dreams theme back though.

He was actually asked that question recently, said if he did it at WM it would be a really cool moment. (Come out to Broken Dreams)
I think he was just being nice to a fan question but imagine if he did do it? Pop at Mania would probably be huge.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
He was jacked in his original run with the shield and then turned into a twig sometime during his singles run. He's put the weight back on ever since he came back from injury. It suits his character much better now.
Either way, AEW had its best episode yet. It must have been the only episode that I didn't fast forward through half of it (aside from the YB and Dark order segment).

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
Also am I the only one looking forward to Reigns vs Fiend? It should definitely close WM. I wonder how they'll book the finish. Reigns should go over but Vince usually pulls the plug on him for these WM matches. The only problem is where does the fiend go if he wins?
He beat Rollins clean right after Rollins became the first person to beat Lesnar clean since Lesnar broke the streak. So he absorbed that rub and Bray is probably going to beat Goldberg too. There's no point building him up this much to not put a face over.

I don't look forward to Reigns matches, specifically ones where it's obvious he's winning. (Besides Bray Wyatt PPV matches usually suck unless it's against Daniel Bryan)
Also your assuming Goldberg won't beat the Fiend before we even get there lol, remember who we're dealing with here.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
I'm more interested to see how big of an overbooked a mess it's gonna be.
Thing is I don't think it's obvious Reigns is winning. Every time we think he's going to get a big moment, he fails. The guy is a choker.
Also I guess the logic is that Goldberg is someone who can beat The Fiend, and I know it's Vince, but ffs I just can't see it, if it does the shitstorm we'll see....

Also to be frank I'm not really looking forward to anything, their inability to tell stories without any sort of payoff means i don't care.

Yes. He lives in Tampa and has the entire week free, said that he is willing to do anything WWE asks him to. He is appearing on Smackdown in two weeks. There are some rumors he's gonna face Bryan.

He's going to be on Smackdown soon, either this week or next week. (Can't remember)
So i assume they will set up his opponent there.

Also Daniel Bryan makes sense, would be high quality match and storytelling and there's a lack of high quality opponents on Smackdown tbh.

I really like MJF. Fantastic heel. The 10 lashes episode was great stuff.

His interviews outside the ring are hilarious. I wish he didn't turn heel on Cody so quickly though.

Re: The Official WWE Thread - Part 34
Fiend should beat Goldberg and then Reigns at WM imo. Have him completely dominate. Only way he loses is through self-destruction. But yeh, looks like Bray is finally where he should be.
Also Broken Matt's apparently returning soon, rumours of him joining AEW, something to do with a stable called Dark Order. Either that or he'll be involved with Bray.

Cena vs Goldberg + Fiend vs Reigns or Reigns vs Goldberg + Cena vs Fiend, one site is saying.
