This man is a warrior for Madrid.

A hero.

Someone never afraid of anything while he's on the pitch, some one willing to tell the cold hard truth to any one of the random superstars to be placed next to him.

This is a big tournament for him, his biggest thus far, he is now the defenisve leager of our team and an immense responsibility falls on his shoulders.I hope all those who do not have national alliances to fulfill, support him in his quest to become one of the greatest and most succesful international defenders of all time.

Ramos is a brilliant player and is gifted to be able to play comfortably at sideback or centreback. He will have the responsibility of leading the backs as he has been more of a consistent defender this season than Pique or Albiol. I hope his relationship with Pique is ok because if it isn't then expect collaspes in the Spanish defense.

The warrior of Madrid. Impressed me throughout the tournament, not that he hasnt done that before. Top 3 CB for me.

Was solid in his position and even made a Pique look like a Wc.

He is a fighter. Maybe he isn't the best in terms of physical qualities, but he is a LEADER, a fighter, he's a model for all players.

"You learn a lot from Mourinho. He knows a lot about football and on a personal level he teaches you a lot. Good advice makes you grow as a person and having him in charge is a privilege," Sergio Ramos stated at a press conference.

"A footballer should always be ambitious and try to win titles every year. We worked really hard last year and now the goal is to defend the league and to start again from scratch humbly. Who better to achieve this than Mourinho, who knows the team inside out and gets the best out of each and every player?

"You grow over time, both personally and professionally. In each training session, with his philosophy, we understand each other better and we have more confidence thanks to the manager."

"Ramos did not play because the coach decided it was better for him not to play," Mourinho said. "I want to leave it very very clear that there is no problems between me and Sergio Ramos, no disciplinary issues, it was just a sporting decision.

"At this moment, Raphael and Pepe were more prepared to play a good game."

hmm

“This is the best Real Madrid in history,” he declared.

“Last year they were the top scorers, they beat you by knockout. This year they have started differently but they are recovering their style.”

The 58-year-old then reeled off a list of potential hazards to his team's target of leaving Madrid with a surprise victory.

“They have the best goalkeeper in the world, Iker Casillas, the best central defender, Sergio Ramos, and one of the best central midfielders, Xabi Alonso," he added.

"Cristiano Ronaldo? That's different, him and Lionel Messi are the two best.”

Post by buddytaller Thu Jan 10, 2013 4:27 pm

Official: Sergio Ramos to face a 5 match ban. 1 for his red card and the other 4 for insulting the referee. Real Madrid's 5 games Ramos set to miss: Osasuna (A), Valencia [CDR] (H), Valencia (A), Valencia [CDR] (A), Getafe (H)

He has a terrible record with suspensions, this is his 28th suspension as a Real Madrid player. We'll have to play the next month without Pepe and Ramos. I guess it's now a Varane-Carvalho partnership with a bit of an overdose of Albiol. Luckily we'll have Marcelo and Coentrao back by next week.

C'mon Ramos. He sees the situation that we are currently in. Especially with our defense.

He needs to keep a cool head.

4 games is a bit harsh for calling the ref a crook, no?

it might be appealed.

Not really,he is questioning the referees integrity by calling him a crook.

The guys a top defender but an idiot at the same time, just look at his disciplinary record. How many more matches do Madrid have until they play United? Because with Pepe injured for a month plus Ramos not playing the defensive partnership of Pepe and Ramos is not going bet any game time for the partnership to find top form again.

Will one of Varane or Carvalho play against United? Do you think Carvalho is still good enough to perform against a team like United?Because him and Varane will no doubt be starting in La Liga now and I have a feeling Jose could pick Carvalho who is more calm and less reckless alongside one of Ramos or Pepe who make up for Carvalhos lack of pace.Jose has a touch dilemma on his hands no doubt.
