Bin Zayed Group 'agree terms' to buy Newcastle from Mike Ashley
Sheikh Khaled is a senior member of the Abu Dhabi royal family and cousin of Manchester City's Arab owner Sheikh Mansour
done deal. it was nice challenging while it lasted.

Grown with the golden age of the Newcastle Football Club (not by chance me and Mole are equal in age ) , I'm glad if they are back to old levels.

Also it's gonna take like 3 years at best for us to be competitive at the top end.
We ain't gonna go from like 12th to competing with the top 4 in one season lol.

Seems like people overreacted he's not a Man City type sovereign state backed investor.
So you can keep your precious status quo don't worry lol, but it sounds like we'll actually try to compete for the first time in nearly 15 years so i'm happy anyway.

Benitez with money
Man sold 7 players to sign Torres for 20m. Hell, man tried to sell Alonso to sign Barry
Wait, why we struggling with net spend since 2007

Relax. You're not going to become competitive at the top end at all, no matter whether you're sold or not.

After thinking about it this is all just a smokescreen IMO.
Ashley is a liar and believing anything else is probably delusional.

Re: 2018/2019 Premier League Discussion Part III
Even if it happens, i'm still convinced it won't. It will take some time for me take joy in football again.
I tried when Pardew left, didn't work.
I tried when when Benitez was hired, didn't work.
I tried when we spent real money on a player for the first time in nearly 15 years, didn't work.
I don't expect to immediately enjoy it all over again.

I would miss your suffering tbh. Not even watching Robes, Freeza and CB suffer would be as joyous as seeing you hate football.

It would be amazing if Newcastle became a powerhouse. I still remember "Newcastle Brown Ale" kits from my teenager years and thinking they were cool just because they had a local beer logo on them lol.
