Roman history buff in me loves the zig-zags, Romanista in me hates it.

This one I love and will have. Great throwback to one of my favorite color combos.

looks shite hmm
honestly I don't hate it. Feel like it would look better if the sleeves matched the color of the side, like the 08-09 barca jersey

This or make both sleeves black so it looks symmetrical from the back.

Looks great, actually. The club has been trying for a while to get rid of the stripes, which are not very marketable. Thankfully, the front path for the sponsor is gone, I hate it that thing, and the back is not the one that was leaked a couple of days ago.

https://imgur.com/a/REmZevI
who said the stripes are not marketable? it's your whole identity right there.

They look like what the NHL and NFL refs wear. Or what inmates used to wear. You won't get too many plastiques with those and you need as many as you can get in this day and age.

As for identity, it's more than just stripes. I like change, so I like the new look just as I like the new logo, which is also much more marketable than the old one, it's a lot easier to slap it on all kinds of merchandise.

Subjective content of course. But that being the Jjuventus jersey would not surprise me.

Agreed. Reminds me of this crest, fan made and it looks 10 times better

Milan kit looks awful for me, I really dislike any kit with thin stripes. Inter looks fine, nothing special but not bad. Juventus kit looks great, definitely marketable af imo

what are the zig zags supposed to reference then, historically speaking?

Jupiters' lightning bolts or.. errr.. the fasces of the praetorial guard..

or maybe a little cheeky ambivalence?

The general consensus is they represented Jupiter's lightning bolts. They were fairly common on the shields of some of the legions throughout the first and second centuries. I'm unsure of if they ever appeared on those of the Praetorians though it's probable they did. That's worth researching hmm.

No, it doesn't, it's too busy. I would even take out "Juventus" from the current one.

About the kits, I am ok about the kits "against the tradition" but if they're only for European tournaments.

I mean, some Italian teams had a "special " kit just for Europe and they were very beautiful for me

for example : Inter 1997-1998 ( Uefa Cup)

2018/19 Calcio Saga - Page 9 Tumblr_lqjhcryjL01qfxktpo1_1280

Lazio 1999- 2000 (Champions League)

2018/19 Calcio Saga - Page 9 Lazio9900champ

Roma 2001-2002 (Champions League)

2018/19 Calcio Saga - Page 9 9701984986_3d5aab67de_b

Special kit just for Europe are good, if Juve made just for UCL was another fact ... but for the whole year .. it is hard to approve for me

Im fine with having some years change it up once a while. I remember the Barca one that was coloured half and half was cool. If it looks good, it's good to have variety some times. We'll see if this kit looks good when released publicly and worn.

So I've gone to the mat a lot for Olsen this season, but that was super poor on the Milik goal. He's in horrid form at the moment. He's a better keeper than this.

That said, Manolas turned with the speed of a tugboat and Fazio kept Milik onside. Shambolic.

The coach was never the problem to begin with. These players have given up. They can't wait for this season to end. No coach can fix them right now.

So everyone is injured. Only 13 players available tomorrow for Cagliari away.

Ronaldo, Dybala, Mandzukic, Cuadrado and Costa are currently injured. Only Dybala may recover.

Spinazzola, one of our most in form players, is also injured for 10-15 days so will miss Ajax when he should have started.

He was even "better" at the second goal. Could have easily just put his foot there, but he decided to go down to catch the ball.

It doesn't matter, Khedira will probably recover, so all our worries will be for naught.
