UCL 18/19 [Quarter Finals] - Manchester United vs FC Barcelona

Well, here ends our journey in the CL this season.

First leg will be at Old Trafford because City and United were both drawn initially to play the 2nd leg at home and in this case United's fixtures are reversed due to finishing in a lower position in the league last season.

Knew it. The draws havent been kind to us at all this season sadly.

Well, it is what it is. I just want us to avoid getting hammered.

It's hard to imagine we can stop Barca, but I think we are one of the few teams that are actually able to beat them.

Kind of hoping Man United luck their way out again in this one as much as I'd hate seeing Frenzie gloating about it if they manage to go through

Although I'm expecting another Messi masterclass at Camp Nou which would probably be enough to seal this tie for good.

Let it be known that the 2nd leg coming into Old Trafford rather than Nou Camp is a much bigger advantage than one may perceive and should put some United fans, at ease.

Either way this Barcelona is more beatable than it has ever been and whilst Valverde is a highly underrated tactician, they have not been too impressive this year compared to what we are used to.

2nd leg being at Camp Nou favors United more than anything tbh

If the PSG game is anything to go by, they can go into Camp Nou without any fear of losing assuming they don't get a favorable result at Old Trafford which is very likely in my view.

Lol, yes, but at the same time we must remember that we haven't been impressive for half a decade. I mean, as much as I'd love to see us going through, it will be extremely difficult to do it considering we just came after one of the darkest periods of our club in the last 30 years or so.

If you ask me, I'd say we must defend very well in the first place and be efficient on counter attacks. If we let ourselves open at the back and give Barcelona space, we stand no chance.

United will need to step it up from the last tie, yes they had an amazing turnaround in Paris, however they were gifted 3 goals by PSG. If they lose the first leg 2-0 at OT to Barca they should then fear that the away leg would be even worse because Barca are a completely different devil compared to PSG.

Parc des Princes is hardly ever been a fortress historically let alone now as going into Camp Nou within a 2nd leg has brought out only the best in FCB especially when they need a comeback.

Though United's comeback away from home will of course will provide some belief that would not have been there if not for their heroics versus Paris.

Easy Barca win, who on Man Utd team is going to stop Messi from running rampant?

I know i've said this a million times already but while Barca might not seem impressive but Messi still wins games by himself if you don't slow him down.

There isn't a single English team who can do this, no idea why people are so ignorant how open English teams are tactically.

Spurs are probably the most European in terms of tactics and they shipped 4 to them in the groups

It will come down to if messi shows up or not. Cant remember the last time messi had a masterclass against a top team but then again united is not a top team, so we'll see.

It's the 20 year anniversary of some bullshit final, so it must be United's year. Barca hits the bars six times, United goes through with own goals by Pique (twice) and Vidal.

Easiest draw for us except Porto. I'm happy.

However we'll probably get smashed by Liverpool in the semis. That's what I anticipate to happen, sadly.

Barca aren't a team to be feared now unless you moonlight as a tapas waiter or a baguette baker.

We have every chance of dominating them. Can't wait for Young to lock down their frontline. Lingard, Martial and Lukaku vs their numpty backline

Rashford already slaughtered one overhyped french numpty, time for him to overshadow Dembele too and cement himself as this generations number 1 talent.
