Just wanted to say you should post in our NBA thread, and maybe join our NBA fantasy league, but that's cool if you don't keep up lately.

1. Salary Cap;
No reason not to have it, will make the competition much more exciting.

2. Infinite Substitutions like in ice hockey.
The current substitution system is just something someone came up with when they noticed injuries were a thing. All top clubs and NTs enter knockout tournaments with a depleted squad, and finish with even fewer of their best players.

3. Actual time played.
We have the tech to stop the clock during stoppage. Just make the game last 70 or 80 minutes with 35 or 40 minutes each half actually played, or three thirds of 25 minutes each, that, together with infinite substitutions will reduce the influence on luck on the game.

4. Retroactive suspensions like they have in Serie A for gamesmanship, dives, and such. Keep people honest. It's hard to blame the players for acting like bitches if not doing it might make them lose the game.

Reduce the influence the shitbags like Riola. Agent power is fking up this game. And also Salary cap definitely. At least for the u21 players.

While this is a popular sentiment, or important from the business perspective of the game, I don't see how it affects the game itself. Raiola doesn't give a shit whether his players play or not (beyond the extent that it affects their market value). Sure it might also suck from a fan perspective where you get attached to a player only for the shitbag to transfer for the sake of it, but again, it doesn't really affect the game itself.

Well, by game if you are referring to solely the game, i mean the quality of it yea, then you are right. And since this thread is about making the 'game' exciting, fair enough, agents dont come into the equation.

Having said that tho, I dont agree the issue can be simply shunned into the business side of football either. I mean someone like Riola asking their clients to come out in the open and talk shit can have a detrimental effect in the dressing room, especially if the player is someone like Pogba who holds so much sway in the dressing room. If it continues to go on like it is now, unchecked, it will affect clubs big time. It is not just a matter of a crooked business person trying to rob money from organizations, it goes way beyond that nowadays, sadly.

@Kebab wrote:Obviously more dangerous moments and more goals will make the game more interesting.  How to make it? The most satisfying thing in football for me is to watch a player goes 1 on 1 with GK, with plenty of space and nobody is around. I would watch it all day long without getting bored

My wish list would be like this:
- In weak penalty calls dont give a penalty. give "1 on 1". One player must go face to face with GK and try to beat him. You have 10 seconds. This would be most orgasmic thing to watch for me

Put a time limit on throw ins, fucking shit fullbacks taking 5 minutes to decide where to throw the god damn ball when everyone and their mother knows he's going to cede possession.

Transfers; a player should have stayed at his club for a certain number of years, and played a certain number of minutes before his release clause can be matched/before he can request a major transfer. Sign a 5 year deal, you should have completed 3 of the 5 years and have played a certain number of minutes at said club in that time frame

But what if you don't get your minutes at your club, then? You're just fucked as your club can force you to sit on the bench for 3 years for the lulz?

Argument: Sometimes penalty is too big a reward in football. (Minor fouls in penalty area situations that were unlikely to result in a goal).

What if there were two different penalties; the usual one from 12 yards when the referee thinks a clear goal-scoring opportunity has been denied and a new one from 18 yards for fouls in the penalty area that the referee judges not to have been clear goal-scoring opportunities?

Both feet have to be on the ground. (And both hands on the ball, but you never see anyone attempting one-handed throws anyway).

Clubs would probably bench good players in most games that are not super important once a player gets close to the required amount of minutes Laughing but yeah, pretty sure a rule like that wouldn't be compatible with european labour rights.

And ball needs to start from behind the head and be released before passing the 90 degrees.

Yep. Plenty of foul throws happening every match day, actually, would like them to be enforced a bit more.

To think what a big thing not committing a foul throw was made to my 10 year old left back self

I think the game would be more exciting to watch if all participants, including the referee, had to have either a handlebar mustache or a mullet.

There are circumstances that can allow for an exit like a player out with a major type injury keeping him out for a lengthy period like a season or 2. In that situation Its likely his release fee is dropped anyway. It's a commitment, it doesnt clash with any laws. U sign a contract, see off at least a good portion of that contract before any moves for an exit are made.

It's no different from the contract a player signs just in  this case there is a move to make sure contracts are not just broken at the slightest whim. Also players r more careful when signing deals as they know they have to commit
