Who's MBZ??? MBS is that crown prince, right???Kaladin wrote:Legit *bleep* Saudi, we share an oil field with Iran since they are our neighbors and there are borders and territories and they tell us to stop sharing it. We can't, Iran is a neighboring country, cant tell them to f off. Then they blockade us, MBS isn't the problem here guys, the true evil is MBZ, he's the one controlling the strings, he kills family members for fun to avoid succession, all the UAE monarchs like Al-Maktoum and Al Jabri are good people whome we had businesses with, but MBZ is the one true evil. He has MBS in his pocket, MBS owes him a huge debt, he is the one orchestrating the war in Yemen.

•Saudi Crown Prince’s Advisor Al Qahtani was beamed into a room of the consulate via Skype.
•Insulted at Khashoggi over the phone.
• Turkish intel source: At one point Qahtani told his men to dispose of him. "Bring me the head of the dog",
(Reuters)
supposedly have the audio of this too

The turks are playing this for maximum effect. Slowly releasing a few details every few days, ensuring that it stays in the news cycle even though this happened over 2 weeks ago.

What a lame duck speech by Erdo, he truly never disappoints to disappoint.
Show us the *bleep* proof if you have it...I wonder if he still wants to milk it.
I watched an older documentary on the house of Saud last night (from when King Abdullah was in charge)...and interesting that one of their kings, King Faisal Abdul Aziz was assassinated and shot by his nephew in a meeting as he was about to hug him in mid 70s.
I'm not an expert on Saudi politics, but commentator pointed that Faisal introducing Television in the land really angered conservative Wahhabis who are against use and any inventions post 7th century (Islam) ... and there was mass protests in the country in which one of the princes was shot dead by security police, and Faisal was assassinated as a revenge by his cousin.
But an interesting phrase was: "Saudi Arabia is a dictatorship managed by a democracy [council of royal family]" , that has allowed things to keep ticking and usual peaceful transfer of power (except the odd occasion here and there like the silent coup to oust that fat ass Saud in 1964) ...MbS has chaged that, interesting how it'll end up.
Here is how I'd summarize the succession:
Ibn Saud (huge alpha founder ) --> Saud (fat ass son with over 100 kids) --> Faisal (soft coup against his idiot brother, very diplomatic and well read, introduces some reforms, angers conservatives internally, assassinated) --> Khaled (Very conservative figure, only lasts 7 years and dies) --> Fahd (party animal, loves gambling, lasts 23 years) --> Abdullah and then now Salman.
I remember when I was younger (teenager) I kept thinking to myself how come there is never a revolution in Saudi Arabia after one of the kings dies (It was Fahad who died in 2005 as I was 14), not knowing how succession and royal family works
Also a rather random question...how come none of the Saudi Kings grow full beard?
Almost all of them have the exact same facial hair...MbS (if he ever gets to the throne will be the first to have a distinct look) ..is it some sort of power code?:
Ibn Saud
King Saud
King Faisal
King Khaled
King Fahd
King Abdullah
King Salman
Next?
