have you seen the squad rafa has to pick from.

He got a goal from his summer signing and another from a loanee, that's plenty done by reinforcements. At the end of the day results matter and he couldn't claw a result from a fantastic position. Belongs where he is.

it's still very much MOU out but I'd take Woodward out too (never happening)

this has def bought Mou some more time unfortunately

If Rafa had spent the same money as Jose has he would have long since been sacked already, as the expectations would have changed in such a way that he wouldn't keep getting away with his absolute shit on a stick football that is in equal parts ugly, boring, and unsuccessful

I really thought United had lost. Stopped watching when they were 0-2 down.

That was a stunning turnaround, you have to give him that.

Yeah, because Rafa has shown nothing but flawless nose in the transfer market.

I'm not saying he's a bad manager, but he's no better than Tony Pulis.

its a good job not all managers are judged on the other team snatching the game away from them late on if they did klopp would have been gone ages ago.

Rafa has done a decent job at Newcastle, just like Chris Hughton has at Brighton or Sean Dyche at Burnley or Roy Hodgson at Crystal Palace. No one's really singing their praises. But somehow Rafa is the romantic choice to adore. I just don't think he's any better than the other folk I mentioned.

All of them have a much better team than Rafa. Newcastle has a championship level team. And he finished 10th last season with that team when quality wise they should have been relegated.

Oh, thanks for enlightening me, I definitely didn't know about his history to take that into account, now I definitely think he's the best thing to happen to Newcastle since Shearer.

Been called worse things, and that's just today :coffee:

Reality is that if there's a mid-table manager that's going to land an exciting job, it's going to be someone like Howe, not Rafa.

Fulham have conceded the most shots in the Premier League so far. Arsenal have conceded the seventh most.

It's a battle of two of the brittlest defences. Fulham do have good players in attack (in form Mitrovic, Sessegnon, Schurrle, Vietto, Seri) and like to go forward, so I can see us struggling.

But then, we've struggled in nearly every game and have come out okay, in the end. We'll see if our luck continues to hold out.

Should be a routine Arsenal home win. Fulham are literally all about Mitrovic who has more bad days than good fortunately because he is unstoppable when in form.
