Steel Rain (2017) was quite good https://www.imdb.com/title/tt6769508/

Dark Phoenix
And now this
I like her, but wouldn't oppose to see someone else
Also, young Beverly is fucking hot man, like jesus that devious smile of hers entranced me since IT 1. I havent felt this much affection for an actress since prime Ellen Page.
just googled her, looks like a young paul scholes you scrote
may check out steel rain, heard of it, been slacking on Korean stuff for a while, got Parasite to watch asap

Korean cinema has been under performing since The wailing tbh. Parasite is the first one with good reviews since then.
Not a huge fan of political films but steel rain looks decent.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Parasite currently has the highest average rating on Letterboxd of films with a considerable number of viewings. And while it was nice and stylish, i feel the film rides too much on its surface level satire and its violent third act. It lacked having true emotion or having a clear sided message on the ideology of capitalism, which Sorry to Bother You pulled of really well last year.

Don't understand how much they can milk the terminator franchise. Who even wants more films at this point?

Burning is one of the great Korean movies of all time. Please put some respect on it.

Hollywood mate. And your average joe is completely fine with just mindlessly going to consume a popcorn flick on the weekend with their mates, girlfriend, or family.

Well, if she traveled to the UK with the intention of having sex it would be highly illegal.
So I wouldn’t call her entirely legal.

No, she will travel to the UK for whatever reason she travelled to the UK. I would just so happen to be in the UK as well.

In that case. You’re legally in the clear.
___
Has anyone seen Joker yet on here?
The press tour is wild.
Todd Phillips is an absolute melt. He’s completely oblivious to why his own movies were fun.

Boy if you thought Batman has the best origin story, give a go at this one. Afraid the Clown Prince of the Crime is going to get a cult and church named after him.

I’ll see it tomorrow apparently. All the crew at cinema going. Free comic book movies
Also finally got my first post-graduation job that actually pays. Not much, but it’s fine.

Old-head talk.
I hate the elitism of people trying to dictate what is "cinema" and what is not.
Superhero-movies, MCU movies included have always been trying to convey emotional experiences to other human beings.
Just another old guy complaining about how his taste is not the predominant one anymore.

Re: The Movie House - Part 11
Also agree with what my professor wrote on Facebook about this same quote:
These days, a Martin Scorsese quote is being circulated, and while I might agree (to some degree) with the sentiment and the provocative notion, I do not think that it makes that much sense.
While Marvel films are not my favorite type of cinema either, and while I agree that they can be likened to theme park-like attractions, that type of entertainment is hardly foreign to cinema. One could even argue that what Martin Scorsese defines as not-cinema is a central proponent of many of the earliest film experiences before the Nickelodeon Boom. As poignant as his film criticism can be - and as avid and culturally learned a filmmaker he is - this comment is strangely a-historical. In other words: That type of entertainment, too, is a historically well-known strand of cinema, even if Martin Scorsese (and I) do not particularly care for this specific expression. Imagine saying that documentaries were not cinema because they simply ‘reproduce’ real-life events (which of course is far from the truth).
