Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Yea it's a matter of pride.
went the other way for now. Another mini boss that was so easy in comparison.

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
they're good practice for what's to come, although it was the boss you're gonna be fighting soon that actually helped me to stop being ass at the game and start melting everything I fight
also cant recommend the Ashina skill tree highly enough, if you've managed to get it
actually surprised at the amount of skill trees in the game, definitely a multi-playthrough job, I do want to platinum this game but we'll see, don't think I have multiple playthroughs in me nowadays

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Not been looking into the skill trees. I suppose i should.
I can get past everything but still can't beat 7 spears guy lol.
Did you go after the purple shinobi guy in hirata estate again?

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
nah that's a good point, I never bothered going back, I bet I can smash him now, but I don't think he was a mini-boss so won't get a prayer bead from him

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
but yeah I recommend getting the Ashina skill tree, you get it near the idol after beating the horseback boss but the phrasing on how to get it is kinda ambigious, but the skill is very helpful especially when you rank it up so you can do it twice in a row, all I use now

I have it. You get it after doing the rat quest. Just didn't think it was that important

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
lol no
although that guy took me about 6 attempts too, it was the boss 20 seconds after that that took me a solid 10 attempts and made me actually stop spamming and learn how to deflect and posture break

Genichiro Ashina?
Faced him once. Looks like an elite boss ffs. Amazing soundtrack too.
Going to have a proper go at him tomorrow but it might take a while. Although i read that you can actually go somewhere else rather than face him at this point. Not sure where else you can go?

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
yeah I progressed a lot of areas before I faced him, wanted to get max HP and strength as possible
the area where you beat the seven spears guy has a couple of places which lead to new directions

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
same, bosses that hit you with fear are annoying AF even for me atm
also just fought arguably the worst boss in a fromsoft game, insanely tedious, basically all guides I saw were like, it's easy, you just have to hit it one attack at a time for 20 minutes, pissed me off, hardest boss in the game so far fighting it without those tactics
also heard I have some tough choices coming up that can lock you out of content ffs, not wanting to spoil myself so hope its straight forward

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Feels like the game is really long. But then some scrub speedran it in 40 mins.
Also those kites in mt kongo. Surely there is a purpose to them? can't figure out

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice

I went in and went straight back out.
edit: went back in because i saw this ledge. Turns out it leads to Ashina outskirts ffs. Unreal link up

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
I've still only killed one headless lol and that was under special circumstances. They're OP.
I'm heading into the final stretch. They're really annoying btw, Fromsoft, that is, insert some really insane optional bosses later and we all know nothing is really optional in these games. ffs.
Also fought another ridiculous human enemy. I backed up my save to, I got to a point where you have to make a choice and it completely dictates which bosses you fight and if you get locked out of areas.

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Which point is that?
I was wondering why the normal enemy got so good, then realised i had the demon bell buff on lol.
Did you face that longsword assassin where you first started? looks OP ffs

Re: Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
first started? uh...idk
I've faced a few of them
you'll know when because you go up to where you fight Genichiro later in the game and talk to an NPC there, what you choose determines the path you take in the game

Just beat the WOAT Fromsoft boss 2.0, it only took me 3 attempts, so fucking tedious, but the original version took me 15-20 lol
