We've signed a new keeper, centre back, right back and two new midfielders to improve our defence yet still can't defend transitions and have conceded more goals than last season.

He's somehow constructed a defence worse than Wenger's. That's the same Wenger who played XHAKA as the lone holding mid and attacked with seven players every game.

All the while, Emery has destroyed our attack despite the talent he has on offer there.

Expected better after six months tbh.

How much did he get he spend though?
Going through the blud fam tv guys' rantings and they do have got a point. You need money to improve, especially when your competitors bar Spurs are well stacked in that dept. Livepool were in similar state as you guys. Now they have the best defensive record. Cos they invested heavily. Things didnt just turn around overnight.
Give the guy at least one full window. Back him with 80-100 mil (if your greedy American owner wont then I dont know, protest and kick him out)  and then judge Emery.

I don‘t trust Emery with money, he‘s going to turn us into Mou‘s Man Utd.

The bulk of our summer investment was in the defence, but that defence is worse than before the investment.

So either the players we signed are crap, or the defensive systems he's put into place are crap. Or maybe it's both.

I don't expect the guy to turn Mustafi, XHAKA and Kolasinac into good defenders. That's impossible. But I do expect a set-up that minimises those weaknesses instead of making them obvious for all to see.

You don't need £100m investment to tell players to run back and get into position when the ball turns over. That's basic stuff.

He was on a good roll month or 2 ago, unbeaten streak or something?

Arsenal shouldn't sack him unless they get a better coach.

Nah he should stay. Will be Emery out once the team is his and they are still playing bad.

Bring Eddie Howe in, we’re already a joke but at least we’ll be entertaining to watch. And he’s proven himself to be a decent coach so far.

When he arrived and talked about us being "protagonists" in matches with an emphasis on pressing and attacking football, I did not foresee us rocking up at BATE Borisov with a back three and no creative players. This is not where we should be, even in the first year.

Wenger's mess of a final team stuck 10 past that lot over two games last season ffs.

Arsenal hurt my ego. I think il start supporting players now instead of clubs. I choose team mbape.

A 1-0 away defeat is hardly any cause for hyperbole. Arsenal can, I fully believe they will, turn in around in the home leg.

Now Emery is no (prime) Arsene or any other supposedly more commendable manager, but it's his first season and he is managing a team that was deep (and may I add, for years) in doldrums.

Emery has always been a pathetic & negative coach. There's no point in him staying because nothing will change.

He has the elder wand. The invisibility cloak. The sorcerers stone. He is preparing arsenal for the best team in the world. Its just the players who are muggles. He still teaching them defence against the dark arts.
