I see something in Mariano that I see in players like Suarez, Pipa etc. He is ruthless, fighting for every ball even if it's a lost cause. Bit clumsy on the ball but I am willing to overlook that

I had no choice but to give your comment a thumbs up. in fairness to me, i made that comment back in august with little sample size to go by. and i still haven't seen mariano play live. but i really like the noise he's making, we need such to help open the eyes of those stubborn at our club who believe this modern cf link up player/strikers who don't score bs.

Better than Benz in his current state I can believe. What has he done to prove he is better than Morata, who is proved in 3 leagues?

i don't know if he is a better player than Morata, but i continue to think he is a better goalscorer. he just has more instinct, much more aggressiveness and he is a better finisher than Morata. that's it, really, my eye test.

Sadly for Mariano, given his age, where he comes from, and the lack of hype he has, he will continuously have to prove himself. I just enjoy him, he is that Falcao breed of player.

Mariano will be in the PL in the next 3 years.

Not seen much of him but I don't see him staying longer than 2 seasons with Lyon.He clearly has potential and the right skillset to become a proven top striker.

benzema does not need to do all that, don't you guys notice "all the space he creates for cristiano" i think he might be the first football or basketball player whose biggest claim to fame is "space creation" (not by dribbling or assisting), whatever that means. sadly i've still not seen mariano play live, hard to budget time for football games outside of my usual la liga, epl and ucl games these days. to you young folks, keep this in mind, wife and kids are full time chores

Years ago when he was getting handful of assists the argument was that he assists alot soon it'll be something else
