Final Stretch Predictor Game Empty Final Stretch Predictor Game

Post by VanDeezNuts 15/5/2017, 03:23

It has come down to this. In 1 week we will know the La Liga Champion. Then in 2 weeks we have the CL Final.

I wanted to get the forum's pulse on confidence going into the final push. Despite how uneven the final score line was against Sevilla, there were large parts of the match at 2-1 when things may not have gone our way.

5/17 Celta de Vigo Away
5/21 Malaga Away
6/3 Juventus in Wales.

We need at least a win and a draw in our final 2 La Liga matches and obviously a win in the CL final. How do you feel this last push will go?

Win 3-1
Win 3-0
Win 3-1

The strength of this team is depth. We often play even until we bring our subs in and they tend to dominate... because our subs are extremely good.

Another trait is that we take it up a notch or three when we get slapped... someone scores on us and we take it very personally. There's no panic in this team.

Finally, we're fresh... fresher than any team out there. Unless injured, all our guys have plenty left in the tank. First time since I can remember.

A win at Celta and I will feel so much better. If I'm being completely honest I think we will win LL but lose CL- or it will be a very narrow win

I'm actually not worried about how we'll play in big games.  Even in the Barca game that we lost...  if Ramos doesn't go stupid and Marcelo forget that a draw is like a win...  we come out of that one.

The team is zeroed in.  The entire squad.  Only variable is the efficiency of our scorers and Ramos of course.

I've given up on all our forwards bar Ronaldo. It looks like none of them are that interested in scoring. Ramos goes all blockhead when he gets exposed aka when we leave too much space in the middle

4141 seems like a win win formation given the quality of our midfield versus the attack

Team is fully focused. Even Keylord has been back to his best for a while. Modric too. Everyone seem to have peaked right at the perfect time

We just need Carvajal back now and for Bale to be fit but not enough to start vs Juve

4141 doesn't work against a 352. You have to stretch the 3 CBs horizontally and keep the wingbacks occupied. You also want the CBs to have to make decisions as opposed to stay rigid... rigidity is the strength of a 352. Also, only 1 striker has no chance against 3 CBs.

I would go 442 with Asensio instead of Isco mainly because Asensio has the extra burst of speed to go wide if need be. Isco can't really beat anyone with speed. We need that aspect.

I think Isco would be great at breaking down a team like Juve. As much as I have loved Asensio recently I think he would do more damage off the bench.

Hopefully everyone is fit by the time we reach the final. It is not easy to have 3 must win matches in 7 days
