Re: Iron Fist || Netflix
I was expecting the worst thing ever from the comment.
Gladly surprised. Not the best, but entertaining and cool enough to pass the time.
Only watched 2 episodes.

Re: Iron Fist || Netflix
CW shows >>>> Netflix Marvel shows these days.
The Defenders will be good though (I hope) because Daredevil
That flip was pretty bad but I loved the first episode! Will see where it goes from here.

Re: Iron Fist || Netflix
I'll watch a couple of episodes tonight. Thinking about the ones I watched yesterday (1 and 2), I like it.
I don't need everything to be all dark, intense and too serious (like daredevil). I'm cool with an entertaining show like what this seems and I'm interested in the story.
Maybe its just what I need after watching Logan

E3
- Spoiler:
- Uh, I feel stupid for noticing this just now but Danny Rand and Harrold are both blonde while Ward and Danny's dad are dark haired. Joy is blonde too. Maybe it's nothing but surely that's not a coincidence

Re: Iron Fist || Netflix
Finished it
6.5/10
Had its moments but it was quite often dull. Writing is quite poor. Characters are inconsistent. Plot points all over the place. No character had any motivation at all and if they did, it made no sense.
Fight scenes were good but nowhere near as good as they were in DD1 and DD2.
Right Now
DD S1
Jessica Jones
DD S2
Luke Cage
Iron Fist
6.5/10

That's really not a good trajectory.
It's basically like this with every superhero show.
Arrow has gotten worse every season from season 2.
Flash worse every season
Every season of a Netflix show or new series gets worse.

Lol i just noticed that. Didn't realise while posting.
I hope The Defenders doesn't follow that pattern. I don't think it will but I am a bit cautious atm.

Re: Iron Fist || Netflix
Iron Fist felt like they were not sure at all on how to unravel the story as it went on. Some things went on too long, other did't make sense. They had so much cool stuff, its a shame. Feels like it needed some serious editing.
Joy in the ended made no sense at all.

Re: Iron Fist || Netflix
Contrary to what I said, Ward ended up becoming the best character in the show. And Gao.

For sure. Ward was the best.
Ward, Gao and Harold.
I didn't like Bakuto at all.

Bakuto
- Spoiler:
- the most generic bad guy of all time. So generic that you could have easily written his role within 5 minutes of his introduction

Re: Iron Fist || Netflix
end of season spoilers
- Spoiler:
Hand was so underwhelming. We saw how badass they were in DD S2. I mean matt struggled against them because they could hide their heartbeats and were deadly silent.
In IF they were generic thugs lol.
Matt would wipe the floor with every single one of them without a scratch.

Re: Iron Fist || Netflix
- Spoiler:
- Harold>>>>>>>>Bakuto. His monotone creeper pseudo-saint crap got old so quickly. Harold I think was great, genuinely threatening, smart, strong, crazy, etc.
I really liked Ward's character. Complex, well developed, deep, I was happy when he got to kill Harold at the end and retook the company at the end. Putting up the picture of him and Danny felt good.
That last scene with Joy though wtf was that?? terrible.

- Spoiler:
- It seems like the Hand itself is quite complex and there are tons of different levels of threat in there. From Gao's badass assassins to Bakuto's entry level brainwashed college kids. In the end The Hand shows up again and apparently attacked K'un Lun, so that means that there is a more badass section of The Hand still around.
