Champions leaque
Great Draw. we get Napoles.
fairly predicable 1st knockout round. at end of it it will be all 4 Spanish, Bayern, Dortmund, City and Juve.
THat will eliminate all the pretenders and have just the 4 strongest leagues left and I don't think I am wrong in saying after quarters only Spanish and Germans left.

Re: Champions leaque
Unless Arsenal and Bayer actually do something outside the norm. Really hoping for that.
Napoli is a formidable opponent but Madrid usually wins these ties regardless of form. Considering the home leg is in Spain first, keeping a clean sheet is incredibly vita......hahahahahahaha, right, we ain't keeping a clean sheet but we'll outscore them home and away.

I'll say something like 3-1 and 2-2 for the two legs. Madrid through 5-3 agg.

Re: Champions leaque
I hope so. It also depends alot on players available. We have been going through months with major injury problems so wouldn't put it past us to have only one fit starting defender available. Last time we played the first leg at home was under Mou when we had gone through years of going out in the last 16 so that's a major disadvantage

Re: Champions leaque
i don't care if we play "boring", but i'd like a win and a clean sheet at home. i don't like the risk associated with looking to outscore opponents

You can get the win but you won't be getting a clean sheet Tito. I don't know how else to put it.

We're a good defensive team that can't get clean sheets. It's a paradox.

Re: Champions leaque
We might get clean sheets again now with Casemiro.
Wouldn't surprise me if we didn't, but there is a possibility.

PSG lost 2-1 to Guingamp today. I wish we had them instead of Napoli.

Re: Champions leaque
I'd be surprised if PSG haven't sacked Emery by then. From what I have read, he has lost the dressing room and plays some guys from their academy because he wants to punish the naysayers. PSG and Napoli are both relatively easy draws compared to alternatives. Both have knobheads in attack, Cavani for PSG and Insigne for Napoli. If we don't progress we don't deserve to be amongst the best and the same could be said about Barca.
