Love the energy and combinations of our players. Still Ramos nearly gifted them a goal as usual lol and towards the end of the half Marcelo kept getting roasted. Bale has been marvelous. Lucas needs to up his game, haven't seen much of him

@bill, I would hazard a guess it is because Varane is more fit than Ramos so can provide better support for Marcelo. All Ramos has to do is make sure he doesn't fck up on the ball and playing good balls from behind. Carvajal will do the defending for him. We need the second goal, it went from a comfortable half to abit iffy towards the end. Bale needs someone to cross to. Lost count ok the amount of time he has gotten in behind but found nobody in the box so forced to play it back to Marcelo

If I have to pick a MOTM, would be Kovacic. Young man did some nice midfield things, even got a punch to the mid-section. Well done to him.

Yes, Kova stood out many times today. Aside from his piercing runs, his ability to soak up pressure and keep a level-head even when there are three players coming at him is just amazing.

Overall, I'm not going to lie to you, I didn't like our performance. But I'm happy for the win.

Credit to Sporting, They played very well. they were very organized and pressing non-stop.

I was surprised by the energy Sporting had. Like they were running and pressing for 95 mins. We matched that energy in the first half but faltered in the second. Alot of our guys need rest they have been playing non stop

As for Coentrao even Danilo is smarter than him. Nacho should be Marcelo's bak up. Also I have to say Ramos and Carvajal worked really well today. If anyone got past Carvajal Ramos was there to mop up. Too bad there are no LBs of Carvajal's ilk

I may be in the minority (or perhaps the only one), but I actually think Nacho would've done a better job than Ramos tonight.

nobody's going to compliment benzema for that bullet header? the ball in was good, but the goalie wasn't saving that, you even heard the sound when he headed that one in....our play was less than inspiring and sporting sensed it. but good 3 points. can't believe the scores in the dortmund game. reminds me of that monaco depor game, with prso and those boys

He's the hero of tonight's game. He gave Madrid the three points, of course he deserves to be complimented.
