Only 17... monstrous talent.  I think he's more talented than both Ousmane Dembele and Martial.

City already offered 40 mil euros this past summer (Pep wanted him) and Monaco said no as they see him as another cash cow in a year or two like Martial.

A good generation. They just have to hope that all these kids come through as they age.

When Le Graet took over in June 2011, one of his first actions was to revolutionize the French youth system to emulate La Masia, as much as possible.  As he said when he was asked about it in a press conference in WC 2014 "When I see Barcelona play, I see not only football but art.  Why wouldn't you want to play like that?"  When an overriding technical directive is given, all levels of the youth system that are reliant on funding from the FFF (all of them basically) have to immediately conform.  As a result, the emphasis was shifted from strong physical play to technical/skillful play.  The kids that were 14 years old or younger at 2011 are hitting the pros now.  For 10 years, France was relying on Lyon and PSG to develop the attacking skilled players while the rest were bringing up strong players mostly... now, everyone is bringing on skilled players.

It's nice to see tbh.  It's been a very quick and dramatic change.  I thought it would take longer.  But it shows how much talent there is in France for the system to develop players so quickly in such quantities.

The only shame is that the managerial tactics employed by the old school managers who still permeate the higher level youth NT teams and most of Ligue 1 haven't been moved out.  That's the next step.  The managerial transition will take longer as the very promising young managers need to get their chance further up the chain.  Almost there though as Batelli is now the U20 manager and he's the first one of the new age managers.  Will be interesting to see who the new U23 manager will be too.

Another step is to train the referees to call games in a way that favors skill... that hasn't happened at all either.

But the most important thing is the player development and that has been a resounding success.

Was pretty good against Montpellier. Stood out from the rest in the front line. He's got some flashiness. Hope he keeps it up.

That's before todays game, right? He's on 15 goals with the brace today now I think.

Kid is unbelievable. Barring injuries it's not even doubt he'll be world class.

Some teenagers it's very easy to see they will be world class and if you watch him play he's exactly that.

People in France rate this kid higher than Ousmane Dembele... I think he has better scoring instincts and pure technique. Dembele has that ridiculous speed and two-footed thing going on.

Tough call for me.

Young talented players just keep popping up every season.

In just one year we seem to have forgotten about Martial and Coman.
