my lord the delusion, teams are even@Nishankly wrote:Well Nick isn't entirely wrong. Remove Karius and the teams are even. So yeah overall Real was better because they had a better keeper, that's about it.

Re: Jürgen Klopp - New Liverpool Manager
As much fortune as Madrid had to get to the final, the final was mostly fair. Karius is just shit, and Liverpool had to take the L because of it. Madrid are/were a much better team regardless.
With that being said, no red card on Ramos was fortunate, but at the same time, I can't imagine that it looked like a red card challenge in real time. When I saw it in real time on TV, I only thought it seemed a foul, maybe a yellow. Once I saw the replay, well, it's different, but the ref didn't have that luxury.

Re: Jürgen Klopp - New Liverpool Manager
From before the start of the season, forgot to post it earlier, also it' in German so no use for most here, but still
Extraordinarily long and detailed, very interesting interview with Klopp.
Ranging about the league, about the transfer policy and spending etc.
Most interesting his thoughts about the CL final and Sergio Ramos, and the general notion of 'fairness', also how he behaved towards Karius after the final, and also later about Özil, Lahm and the German NT.
If anyone is interested in translations about any of these topics let me know, can't be bothered to preemptively watch and write it down right now.

Translated it to English through setting on the video, but it was kind of all over the place

Klopp with back to back CL finals and he did it with Origi, can't even say he was carried by Salah like I said last season. Emphatic fisting to the haters. Can't do anything but bend the knee. Fair play.

Re: Jürgen Klopp - New Liverpool Manager
I can see by his reaction after the 4th goal, he was surprised as everyone and like wtf, we are actually winning it lol.
Credit to Klopp, he started back at Dortmund and took him not long to get them to challenge Bayern, not easy being being second so often, even this season in the league still, but to get his team to perform so well under the circumstances, to manage Liverpool isnt an easy at all, and general all round nice guy. Im sure if he wins it, a lot of ppl will say hes the best manager now.

I don't care.
Like always I have said, he defines the sport for me. To fight for the jersey, to fight because you love the sport. Doesn't matter if you aren't the best on the field. It doesn't matter.

Re: Jürgen Klopp - New Liverpool Manager
He is a truly great coach for sure.
He deserves some silverware with Liverpool (unfortunately no CL this time) but even without it you just have to give him credit. Pushing a title race with this insane City to the last day of the season and making back to back CL finals. And that after breaking the Bayern monopoly and making a CL final with Dortmund.

Re: Jürgen Klopp - New Liverpool Manager
Hopefully Klopp will finally have his triumph on the grandest stage of them all.
Always rated the guy. During Madrid's golden era, only liverpool I legit feared because of the coach who leads them.
Liverpool disposing of barcelona should be a surprise to no one. Barcelona aint nothing special in cl and they were fortunate to have won the first leg. got badly exposed again.
football triumphed today and I trust klopp to finally win the big one.
spurs and ajax got nothing on the klopp.

Re: Jürgen Klopp - New Liverpool Manager
thats only because liverpool for w/e couldnt put the ball in the back of the net the first leg. they had many opportunities to do so.
just like how they similarly had chances against us in the final last year. bad luck last year. believe lady luck favors the klopp this time around.

TBH up until this comeback, Ajax would've had the advantage in terms of mentality.
I'm not even thinking of Spurs for some reason, even though they will probably make it.

A comeback like that and playing back to back UCL finals does more for Liverpool than any league cup or FA cup would do.
