Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
There's talk that RM might be facing a transfer ban next year? DDG will have to wait a bit if there's any truth to it.

Thats just talk that have been already squashed..There is a reason only Manutd fans talk about Real's transfer ban
Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
I doubt DDG doesn't play this season, surely he wants games to get in for the Euros.

Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
Madrid fans in full salt mode
You guys were so excited, showing complete disrespect and trying to force out your number 1 at such a late moment in the window but now it's all good
De Gea will be starting after the international break. We'll line up a legit replacement by next summer when he moves to Madrid for free and the club won't lose any sleep over the lost fee.
I'm happy to have him for another season

Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
We were expecting him next year for free whole summer.
Look at the Marca and As poles even they want De Gea for free next season.
De Gea starting after international break
Starting GK is called Romero . De Gea will be sent to U 21 to get some match practice then the Valdes thing will occur. Even if he starts ,how long? he is going to sign pre contract in January after that ooops again head not in the game philosophy process. 40 million losts. Romero as No 1 and a Unahappy GK. Before this fiasco i could have seen De Gea being some what proffessional but after this....lol

Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
I think De Gea will play for United this season. The club have no reason not to play him, unless Van Gaal gets a bit funny about it. Theoretically De Gea could be so mad at United that he doesn't want to play for them, but I doubt that, I think he'll accept his fate and just get on with it and play.
But even then, I like this, makes both these clubs look frigging amateurish and I don't think either one is a real winner here

The winner here obviously is Keylor Navas. Gets to start at Real another year and then can go WHERE HE WANTS, not forced to join the Hispanic players depression machine that is van Gaal's Utd

Whether he'll be registered for the CL squad or not (which will be released today) should be telling.

Madrid trying to throw us under the bus- classy club. They had the entire summer to tie up this deal rather than wait till the last day of the transfer window.
Hope we respond to them.
This is getting juicy.

Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
Real Madrid will not appeal to FIFA over David De Gea's bungled move to the Bernabeu, and the Manchester United goalkeeper will now remain at Old Trafford.
The Spanish giants and ten-time Champions League winners were made aware that, having missed the registration deadline with the LFP, even had De Gea been allowed to complete his switch that he could not have played in La Liga until January.
Madrid this lunchtime released a numbered statement, translated in full here:
Manchester United didn't open any path of negotiation for the registration rights to David De Gea until yesterday morning.
Real Madrid, despite the difficulties associated with completing a deal of this type on the final day of registration, accepted the initiating of these conversations.
When Manchester United entered into these negotiations yesterday morning they did so subject to being able to reach an agreement with Real Madrid player Keylor Navas, in order that he would join the British club from this season, and informed that they were in contact with the representatives of said player.
Real Madrid and Manchester United arrived quickly at an agreement for the transfers of both players. After the editing of the relevant contractual documents and with the intention of proceeding with enough time to get everything sent to the Transfer Matching System of FIFA (TMS) as well as his registration with the Spanish Football League (LFP), Real Madrid resent the contracts to Manchester United at 13:39 Spanish time.
Manchester United sent back their comments on said contracts eight hours later, at 21:43 Spanish time, including small modifications. Due to not being relevant, all of the modifications were accepted immediately by Real Madrid with the intention of being able to register the player on time in the TMS and with the LFP.
Real Madrid, having obtained the signatures of David De Gea and Keylor Navas, sent back to the English club the signed contracts at 23:32 Spanish time, waiting to receive the final documents signed by Manchester United.
Manchester United reached a final agreement with the representatives of Keylor Navas at 23:53 Spanish time and it was at this time that the contracts were sent to the player to be signed.
Manchester United entered into the TMS all the information for the De Gea deal, but not those for Keylor Navas, at 00:00 Spanish time, sending back to Real Madrid at the same time the signed transfer contracts. Real Madrid received the completed documentation at 00:02 and tried to access the TMS, but found it to already be closed.
At 00:26 Spanish time the FIFA computer system, TMS, invited Real Madrid to fill in the details for David De Gea, given that the registration period in England continues to be open until today. Real Madrid, with the prospect of some contention over the transfer of the player, decided to send the contracts to the LFP, even knowing that the period had expired.
Definitively, Real Madrid had done everything necessary, at all times, to ensure that these two transfers happened.

What Manchester United were doing in that eight hours ? it seems the delay was deliberate.

i doubt keylor's the winner...we made our feelings known towards him the way we handled this deal, his confidence will take a hit and he'll just have to play every game like his life depends on it, knowing next summer, the club could sell him, not to utd, since that deal was tailored towards getting de gea but elsewhere
de gea also loses, he expected a deal to be tied up and had to stomach former utd players and the media bad mouthing him. he was probably thinking he'll take whatever insults come his way during the summer and move at the end of august, but now he'll have to stay another year and pretend he wants to represent utd, or force himself to accept a contract offer (if they propose one)
i think we played around with both goal keepers' emotions, if florentino really wanted de gea, he could have at least made an initial bid, see the bid rebuffed and negotiate some sort of deal wit de gea's agent, assuring him he'll be coming next season on a free and to stick it out for one year. that way the guy knows where he stands. we didn't even make a bid till the 31st.
as much as pundits say both clubs were fighting for the deal to happen, i doubt florentino wanted it to happen this year. think about it, florentino has over ten years of experience in the football market, has put pen to paper for the biggest names, he must have known its near impossible to propose a bid, and negotiate on the last day of the window
i have no problem with florentino waiting it out, spending so much for a goalie is ridiculous, not to mention one with just a year left. but the approach taken really bothers me, especially the uncomfortable situation we have left both goalkeepers.
let's hope keylor has the mental fortitude to stomach the disrespect and if not play for madrid, play for a better opportunity come next summer....it will suck if he flops, de gea and lvg make up and it all becomes 'water under the bridge' and ddg signs some new contract with utd....if he hasn't agreed some contractual personal terms with madrid, like florentino did figo's agent, its very possible, a year is a long time, fences can be mended or broken within that time

Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
Imo the transfer system should be a bit more lenient. If you've already started negotiations for a player the day before, then you should be allowed to sign the player regardless of the window ending.

Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
@yohan, the problem with that is everyone will start taking advantage of it, when the situation arises where they may not be able to reach an agreement on time, which is quite normal in football....cough...barc..cough, you know they'll go "well
'refdrid' did it, so we should be allowed to do ours as well". and everyone in the league will look for loopholes

Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
What's more, one really, REALLY, could expect huge enterprises like Real Madrid or Manchester United to function professionally on the barest minimum level as to get paperwork done in time for an official deadline.
Sending documents back and forth betweeen 23.50h and 00.02h smh.
It's not like they had 3 months to get this done.
Baffling stupidity and unprofessionalism, in deals involving millions and millions of €€

"Manchester United reached a final agreement with the representatives of Keylor Navas at 23:53 "
negotiating a deal with Navas took to the final moments it seems, considering you by all accounts blind sided him with this it seems appropriate.
and people who don't think De Gea will play
we would of sold him early on if we had no intention of playing him this year.
now we have De Gea, Valdes, and Romero
that moment Romero goes from #1 to #3
oh and let's all remember this isn't first time Madrid and United haven't gotten a deal in on time, Coentraos loan to United did not get put in by Madrid on time

Re: Thibuuuu: welcome to Madrid
it seemed more calculated than "unprofessional" according to reports i'm hearing
http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11667/9974553/david-de-geas-move-to-real-madrid-from-man-utd-thwarted-by-missing-paperwork
which goes inline with my theory that florentino knew what he was doing. think about it, this guy has signed figo (from barcelona) zidane, ronaldo, beckham, and the list goes on....you really think paperwork was the real issue? (no pun intended)
