He didn't train with the first team today, so it seems unlikely he's going to be involved in the next three games.

If you're good enough, you're old enough. Doesn't hurt to have the depth, regardless of where he plays but I'm against any solution that takes Alexis away from LW. Best players in their best positions.

Same reason I don't want Belle at RW but that's more about Debuchy playing.

Gnabry not in the West Brom squad. Again.

January can't come soon enough for him.

Zelalem seems to be doing quite well. Same with Toral and Martinez

Bit concerning how little Chuba Akpom has scored since joining Hull. 4 goals in 27 appearances or 1,646 minutes. Great that he's playing so often but he's scored twice since August.

Gnabry set to be recalled, apparently:

Isaac Hayden has also returned from Hull due to lack of games.

“I’m not going to get involved in that [confirming Gnabry’s exit] because the clubs are still talking,” Pulis told the Birmingham Mail.

“Serge has been brilliant. He’s not played as many games as he would have wanted to play. But he’s been good to have around the place.

“He was very unfortunate because he came here injured and I think people forget that. Once he was fit, fitting him into that team and what we were trying to do was difficult and then he picked up another injury so he’s had a bit of a topsy-turvy start.

“For the kid, if you speak to him, he wants to play week in week out. It’s very difficult to guarantee someone that week in week out.

“He picked up an injury before he came and he was a little bit weighty, a bit heavy and it took us a while to get him into that mode.”

While the weight issue is a little concerning, it’s positive to hear that Gnabry has been working hard at West Brom and that his effort isn’t being questioned by Pulis – a disciplinarian who’s not known to suffer fools

Hayden had been on the cusp of a loan deal with a new club only for Steve Bruce to confirm on New Year’s Day that it had fallen and that the midfielder could yet stay at the KC Stadium.

“It’s not done and dusted with Isaac,” Bruce is quoted as saying by the Hull Daily Mail.

“A move for him stuttered and has fallen through at the moment. He wants to play, the kid, and I can understand that. It’s frustrating for him because he wanted to come and play.

“That opportunity hasn’t progressed and as far as we’re concerned he stays with us. We’ve got an agreement with Arsenal that if a club can guarantee him first-team football then the boy wants to play.”

Elsewhere, a couple of young hopefuls have enjoyed a big day at London Colney. Tafari Moore, 18, has agreed a new deal with the club, while England under-17 international, Tolaji Bola, has signed his first professional contract. Good luck to them.

How can you loan an injured player to a premierleague club and one that's fighting relegation on top of that .poor management from both sides to be honest. I hope Gnabry has recovered from his knee. He is a talented player, just needs to get match fit and regain a bit of confidence. Would be a shame if this injury was to ruin his chance of making the grade with us

on Serge Gnabry’s situation…
He’s on loan at West Brom, a year-long loan.
on if the loan will be cut short…
We have a commitment. The player wanted to go there. We have a commitment with West Brom. If they want to cancel the loan, they have to contact us and speak about it. But at the moment, we are not there.

We do have space with Flamini, Rosicky and Arteta leaving but the inevitable signings of Xhaka, Bender, Carvalho and Toulalan along with Elneny already being here and midfield talent coming up mean Toral won't have that great of a chance.

His contract expires this season, based on how well he's done I think he deserves a new deal and to either be sold a la Afobe or loaned out until he becomes the new Coquelin a la... Coquelin/Campbell.
