He was good. Created both chances that led to the goals. Credit where it's due.

He can play A LOT better than that.

Again, he was solid, but hardly did anything spectacular.

Both the Ox and Flamini had better games. Could argue Sanogo or whatever his name is did just as good/better, too. He unsettled our defence at times, although he played a dirty game. (I swear he caught Agger with atleast 2 elblows...)

Of course he can play better but that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve recognition when he plays well, which he did. Even if he wasn't the best player on the pitch.

I prefer to think of that as taking no sh**. Could have sworn Agger had him by the shirt a few times. Agger looked a bit off pace that match.

Yeah Agger hasn't been himself defensively for a while now. He's been living on hype, really. Sakho will take up his place when he returns from injury soon. Thumbs up

I watched the game. he was good but can do way better. feels bad to see him out of form like this.

He is not out of form, the PL is fast and space to play is limited, he is adapting very well to that style.

And since we are well into the season that energy levels must be conserved until May, you cannot expect players to run all over the pitch.

And yet Ozil still delivers excellent passes for the team and even had an attempt on goal.

It's just worth noting that he looked considerably better with pacy runners, as has been mentioned in this thread.

Plus, playing 90 minutes per match with no winter break demands an adjustment after around 60 minutes under Mourinho.

I'm sure it is just a coincidence that he played his best match of the past couple of months when a certain donkey was not playing up front :coffee:

Actually, it had a lot more to do with Ozil and Cazorla not running into each other since Cazorla didn't start...  they're not compatible since they like the same areas.  Ozil had more room in this game.

Also helped that they had a proper DM in Flamini and a secondary scoring threat in Podolski.

Just a much more balanced starting XI.

But hey, don't let your imbecilic football understanding get in your way... it was never one of your strengths.

Agger is the most overrated footballer in this forum, well at least he used to be.

He was actually regarded as the best CB in the league by many on this forum. Amazing.

All play playing CB's are overrated. That's why they get more backlash than any other type of player when they get exposed.

Had a poor first half. Very bad penalty too.

Let's see if he can inspire Arsenal in the 2nd half.

Which happened on the 8th minute... Why is he taking penalties, he's obviously bad at them.

Yeah, 8th minute or 1st, he was great for 480 seconds :coffee:

I honestly have no idea why. He's never been a penalty-take anywhere. He shouldn't be anywhere near first choice, let alone second or third.

the saddest thing is apart from him i don't see anyone who would have take the lead to kick that penalty. Maybe Wilshere due to his temperament.

Cazorla shouldve taken that pen...letting Ozil to take pen against his NT teammate Laughing

Penalty miss happens but his work rate and defensive game was pathetic.
